Not really.. I just have an offer right now, so I just wanted to get opinions if I should exercise it right now or should I just wait it out.

Is it good for series or movies of both?
Are they offering a big selection?

Well obviously they have a lot of the Paramount library but they also have a lot of old TV shows as well. I’m going through Frazier right now.

Stick with HANNA. Sure, there's an awkward relationship, but that's actually a small part of the show. It's just a catalyst for everything that happens.
The show has a deeper story which makes it a little slow compared to other shows, but it is good if you stick with it. I like the eastern European style of filming which is a little less vibrant but it helps put more focus on the characters and the story.

Does anybody have Paramount + here and if they do, is it good?

I like star trek shows so it is worth it to me.
Right now the 1883 show is really good IMO but if you are not into westerns at all you would probably not like the show.
Plenty of movies on it, older ones as well.
Plenty of shows.

It also has most of the CBS stuff on it as well.

If you have the the upper tier option you can watch live CBS in your area.

They have the NFL games on CBS but if you have the lower tier option and you are watching the game and it hits the time that the game is slotted to be off, it cuts it off right there no matter if they are still in the 4th quarter or OT.

Another Tubi Movie

Housebound - Film out of New Zealand. Horror/comedy branding. This is yet another movie that with some changes would be much better. The lead actress does a good job but frankly just the look she has is annoying. Looks like she has something rotten under her nose that is constantly giving her a scowl aka resting b face. The movie is slow but the twist is ok. Acting is pretty decent for most of the cast. One part humored me since it was so silly. Two women escape the killer by locking themselves in the bathroom. Next scene you see the blade of a skill saw cutting through the door with the camera filming within the room. Then the camera switches positions and you see the killer on the outside of the door with the skill saw but the silly part is he is wearing goggles and headphones for ear protection. Just found that silly and a bit funny. But overall I doubt I would watch it again but someone might enjoy it for free.

All depends on what you are into and if you collect or not. They have a good movie list but since I collect the ones I like, didn't have a lot of appeal to me. They do not have the original content for streamers like Amazon, Netflix and even Apple, Disney and Max do but they have a nice catalogue of movies.

If you can get that try it for 30 days, watch like an insomniac and figure out if it is worth it after that.

I don't do many TV shows so all of these have limited appeal to me like Peacock.

Anyone watching the Expanse season 6? They only have one more episode to go and I have no idea how they can wrap up this season in it. Feels like they are in midseason.
They wrapped it all up pretty well, IMO. I liked the final episode a lot.

Peacemaker (The Suicide Squad spinoff) premiered its first 3 episodes today on HBOMax. Watched the first and a bit of a mixed bag, though I laughed quite a bit. I can tell this show isn't going to take itself too seriously, and I expect some zany crazy shenanigans to happen. Cool to see Robert Patrick around. John Cena has really grown as an actor and I hope he can carry the show. 90% on Rotten Tomatoes so far which is surprisingly very high. I think im going to enjoy this more than Hawkeye and even maybe Book of Boba Fett.
I'm super curious about Peacemaker. It looks both stupid and great at the same time to me (based off the previews). I'll most likely give it a real chance.

I saw the first two 1883 episodes and enjoyed them. Plan to watch the rest.

I watched Fantastic Fungi last night. Pretty good documentary on mushrooms.

I've been fascinated by the mycelium networks that connect forests. This doc did touch on that, but had some other interesting topics as well.

Just watched Eternals. I give it a "meh" out of 10, but only because it got more interesting in the last 45 minutes. I knew nothing about the Eternals before this movie, but...

The origin story and the idea that one "Celestial" can create new suns just from the energy of one world is...I can't even find the words. Also, since Thanos clearly threatened everything Arishem was doing, it seems odd that he didn't get involved in the fight against Thanos. After doing my best to forget all the things that make no sense to me, I enjoyed the characters, mostly. It's obvious Kit Harington's character is more than just a normal human, and I'm curious if he turns out to be anyone I've heard of. [spoiler/]

Also, I hear Ajak was originally a man's character. Funny that Salma Hayek got the part.

Anyone catch the news that Netflix raised it's prices again? I can't believe they believe after delaying the next season of a number of their original shows they think they now deserve a raise.

My problem was not that Hayek got the part. Character revisions happen in and outside the comics book pages. Many moons ago, Captain Marvel was a Kree male, who Marvel eventually killed off by giving him cancer.

No. My problem was not with casting. My issue was what they REALLY did with the character:

POWERS
Ajak possesses the conventional powers of the Eternals, including superhuman strength enabling him to lift 25 tons, complete control over the atoms of his body allowing him to regenerate after virtually any injury, the ability to project cosmic energy from his eyes or hands in the form of heat, light or concussive force, teleportation, flight at the speed of sound and the ability to rearrange the molecular structure of objects. Ajak is also a brilliant archaeologist and skilled wrestler

Here is my question to anyone (not just yourself) who has seen the movie and knows little or nothing of the character. Does that description even remotely match what you saw on the screen?

What they did to Ajak was criminal. Hayek should sue. And no, I am not kidding.[/quote]

That seems like an amalgam of several of the characters, which would've made her the strongest of them, whereas she seemed to be the weakest.

Time for me to geek out.

No. Ajak is NOT the physically strongest Eternal. Ikaris is stronger than Ajak. Gilgamesh is stronger than both of them put together.

https://www.marvel.com/characters/gilgamesh/in-comics

Allow me to suggest a comparable strength scale.

Most of Tony Stark's armor suits (with one exception being the Hulkbuster) make him superhumanly strong.

Armored Stark is not physically stronger than Thor.

Asgardian Thor is pretty darn strong and his true strength has not been truly shown in the MCU.

That said, Thor is not physically stronger than Hulk. Not even close. And that strength gap widens the madder Hulk gets. Gamma rage. :muttley:

The producers (and Marvel) had some rational for de-powering Ajak. Why neuter the character almost completely if the change was done to lessen an anticipated amalgamation issue among Eternal characters from the audience's point-of-view? Why not strip Ajak of concussive comic energy blasts, teleportation, superspeed flight BUT left her with superhuman strength along with her molecular manipulation power (which is the only thing that stayed true to the character)?

I don't know. Seems like they re-made the leader as the weakest human Eternal so that she would be the easiest kill.

Reading that, I think maybe you got so flustered that you made a couple of typos. lol

Also, why would Ajak need superspeed flight if he/she can teleport?[spoiler/]

That is a question only the late great Jack Kirby could answer. ;)

I just watched the most recent episode of the Book of Boba Fett.

I honestly have to say that it was awful. Pretty disappointed with this series at this point. It’s a story that goes around in circles. Small circles. Visit one person or group, get told one thing, visit another group, get told something else, go back to the first group.

And the conflict with the Wookie bounty Hunter ended up disappointing too.

And don’t even get me started on the Power Rangers Vespa Club! What a joke!

As a fan, I can only hope for a huge rebound for the rest of this series.
