Did anyone watch Alice in Borderland? I started to watch it, realized it is a little like Squid Game and honestly, I don't know if I can take another Squid game type of show. After the first episode, I am thinking maybe moving on to something else.

Finished watching the second season of "Slow Horses" starring Gary Oldman. It's a British spy thriller about misfit agents that get assigned to the Slough House post( nicknamed the Slow Horses), mostly relegated to the menial tasks, background checks, low level assignments etc. Really like Oldman in this, he plays a MI5 legend, but has made many bureaucratic enemies, slovenly, sarcastic and kinda of a jerk....

It's pretty straight forward for a British spy show, but really enjoyed the dialogue, Oldman has some great lines and seems perfect for the character.

Have been bored lately and started watching Seinfeld from the first episode. It is currently on netflix.

When the show first came out years ago I watched the first couple of episodes and just did not care for it.

A couple years or so later a good friend told me I have to start watching it so I gave it another shot when there were some reruns on and loved it.

It's one of those shows I don't need to watch more than once. Definitely over hyped, IMO.

One thing that bothers me is the whole "It's a show about nothing" selling point. Just about every sitcom is a show about nothing.

I loved it after the first season. Oddly I think although Jerry is what tied them all together I thought he was the weak one of the show. The others always made me laugh more.

With that said, I agree about the show about nothing premise, It was a group of people and their problems living in the city. Just like other sitcoms might be about a family growing and having their problems and so on. Nothing new about the premise imo.

That's true, I can't think of something I didn't like him in. Oldman fits the character of Jackson Lamb from Slow Horses so well that in the spirit of a show about nothing, I would watch a series of him playing Jackson Lamb where nothing happened. Just follow him around and watch his interaction with other people on any normal day, his character is such a character.....lol

In the first episode of season 2, one of the Slow Horses go on an interview with a private security firm and he finds out that the only reason he got an interview is that they wanted to hear stories about Jackson Lamb......lol. Yeah, I could totally see that.

The first one I had seen too, when I was making the post, thought I had a smudge on my glasses.

Awhile back, I watched the first episode of Love Death + Robots Volume 1, with the three sarcastic robots, was disinterested halfway though, and turned it off. Was flipping through Netflix titles Saturday and decided to try the second episode instead.

Watched every single episode through Volume 3 in one sitting. Most were good. Several were really good or excellent. My two favorites dealt with the farmer versus the rats and fox demon with her childhood friend.

Yeah, a couple of the episodes were preachy and corny, but most were really good.

Wife and I did that when it hit Netflix. It must be about the third time I have seen that show in it's entirety over the course of my life. It's fantastic. I love it.

'The Contest' (S04E11) has to be one of my most favorite sitcom episodes of all time. lol

Over the holiday while flying to the east coast I watched the last three episodes of Cheers. Though I was a big fan of the show, I never actually remember watching the ending of it.

Man, that was a great show. It was right in my wheelhouse of mid-80s/early 90s nostalgia. I felt pretty melancholy afterwards.

Funny you mention Cheers, I just bought the entire series on digital for a nice sale price and I’m looking forward to watching it.

I am watching Wednesday on Netflix and I have to admit I am really enjoying it. I was an avid watcher of the original Addams family show. This new series brings back a lot of memories and smiles.

Jenna Ortega does a great job as Wednesday. The rest of the actors are pretty good too. At first I was put off by Luis Guzman as Gomez. After John Astin and Raul Julia in the first movie, I just could not econcile Luis Guzman as Gomez. But after a few episodes he is growing on me. He will never be as good as Astin or Julia, but he is not as disturbing to me now as I felt in the first episode.

I don't even care about the plot or where the story goes. I am just enjoying the many gags and one liners that bring out the macabre wit from the original show. Gomez Addams's many affectionate names for Wednesday, like "my little booby trap" and things like that are so enjoyable to hear. It is a kids show I think but really this show is enjoyable for any age, especially if you were a fan of the original TV show.
