I finished Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. I like this show. I like almost all of the characters in the show. I think the Lorna character is too much. I find her annoying and wish they would tune it down a bit. She is trying too hard to be like Donna in Suits. I don't think it works.
The trials are not realistic but overall the show is entertaining. They set it up for a season 4 which has not been officially renewed, but all indications are there will be a season 4. To be honest, I don't like the way they set up the next season. Seems like we've seen this "set up" before in so many other popular shows. Let's hope this was just a tease for a very different storyline than what it appears based on the ending.
In my opinion, Season 3 to Season 4 is the line of demarcation for most series. This is where some shows start their decline from good to awful. It is the place where writers start to run out of good creative ideas. We'll see what happens with this show. But when Mickey's daughter says she wants to be a lawyer like her dad, I got some Bosch Legacy vibes. In TV shows, characters do not inherit the traits of their TV parents. Putting the focus on them ruins the show.
I give the first 3 seasons a solid 7.5 out of 10. I am looking forward to season 4 with an open mind.
