Mike would never take a dive, would hurt his legacy. I think he will play along to a draw for 20 million. Boxing is trying to stay relevant, Paul winning or even tying might bring younger fans to the sport. I think this is their thought process.
Watching more "influencers" get their butts kicked would bring in all kinds of new fans! ;)

That could very well be the case, I just don't see Tyson agreeing to it.Taking a dive or agreeing in anyway to script a fight is the same thing. Plus I don't think drawing fans to boxing is important to him at this point. Money certainly makes people do crazy things, so we'll see.

Tyson is almost 60 years old. He is not what he was 30 years ago. I would be he pulls a muscle before he knocks anyone out. But I suppose it depends on what supplements he is taking.

I finished Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. I like this show. I like almost all of the characters in the show. I think the Lorna character is too much. I find her annoying and wish they would tune it down a bit. She is trying too hard to be like Donna in Suits. I don't think it works.

The trials are not realistic but overall the show is entertaining. They set it up for a season 4 which has not been officially renewed, but all indications are there will be a season 4. To be honest, I don't like the way they set up the next season. Seems like we've seen this "set up" before in so many other popular shows. Let's hope this was just a tease for a very different storyline than what it appears based on the ending.

In my opinion, Season 3 to Season 4 is the line of demarcation for most series. This is where some shows start their decline from good to awful. It is the place where writers start to run out of good creative ideas. We'll see what happens with this show. But when Mickey's daughter says she wants to be a lawyer like her dad, I got some Bosch Legacy vibes. In TV shows, characters do not inherit the traits of their TV parents. Putting the focus on them ruins the show.

I give the first 3 seasons a solid 7.5 out of 10. I am looking forward to season 4 with an open mind.

Been watching Hysteria on Peacock. It is great. Lots of throwbacks to the 80s. Great music like Maiden and Sabbath. Bruce Campbell is in it and had some great 80s horror guest stars in Jeffrey Combs and Barbara Crampton. 7.5/10

Here are the rules that I seen:

- Fighters will wear 14-ounce gloves as opposed to the standard 10-ounce gloves.
- Each round will last 2 minutes as opposed to the usual 3 minutes.
- The fight will be 8 rounds as opposed to the typical 10 or 12.

Give us ONE LAST show Mike.
Sincerely, the world!

Yup, those 14 oz gloves are going to save Paul from a complete beat down. that’s like me hitting you with a down pillow :muttley:
Yeah, maybe. But Tyson hitting you with that blistering hook to the kidneys then followed up by that devastating upper cut will freaking hurt even if he was actually wearing down pillow gloves lol

You called it.. nice job. If that was the fight to gain younger fans more power to them. It was a total piece of crap and complete waste of time.

Netflix made us wait 4 hours before the Tyson fight started and then it was a total farce. First, I think Paul was pulling his punches a little bit. He probably did not want to kill a 58 year old man. That's why they used 14 oz gloves.

If you thought you would see Mike Tyson, despite his age then you must not be old. There is no sport yet where I have seen a 58 year old compete with the younger guys in that sport. Even Golfers stop competing with the young guys after 50 for the most part because their swing speed drops too much for the PGA tour. Tyson has no reflexes anymore. It was a fun promotion but it was never going to be a real fight. Some people made a lot of money on the idea, I am not sure it did anything for the boxing game.

All the money in Vegas was on Tyson, so... well you know.

Andrew Babakitis, trader at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook. “The price got as high as Paul -350, but as of [Tuesday] we’re sitting at -260. The book is going to need Paul pretty big as 85% of tickets wagered have been placed on Tyson, along with 75% of the money. We also currently need the Over 5.5 rounds, as the Under has been a popular bet.”

The story was similar at other hotels, with the majority of the action coming on Tyson.

The betting was even more lopsided at Caesars Sportsbook, where 91% of the tickets and 77% of the money was on the underdog Tyson to be victorious, including a $25,000 wager on Tyson at +190 odds.
