Turns out the fight between the two women was much better than the main fight.
Although I think the one lady got robbed.

The main fight was nothing more than the two trying to make sure the other did not get knocked out with one punch.
Neither was really trying.
Both were just in it for the money grab.

If they put half of the effort and heart into it like the two ladies did, it might have been at least a tad entertaining.

I'm going to ask for my Netflix money back. Not because I couldn't watch the fight due to their technical difficulties, but because they put on a shame fight.

The first fight shouldn't have even happened either. The Brazilian guy was completely outclassed. The guy had zero power and his opponent ensured everyone knew it. The two best fights were the ladies and the Dak Prescott fight hah.

Anyone watch the first episode of Dune Prophecy?

First part of the episode was making me fall asleep but it got better towards the end.

Travis Fimmel (sp), the guy who played ragnar in the Vikings series, has an interesting character that ramped up the second half of the first episode.

I will watch it tonight. I also have to catch up on "From".

OK...been watching some shows

Finally got around to watching the Penguin.
I liked it. Although it is hard not to think of Tony Soprano when Oswald is talking.
However Colin does a pretty good job and you can only tell it is him by his eyes at times.

Now a couple of newer shows

Landman - new show on paramount from Tyler Sheridan (yellow stone and1883)
Only two episodes at this point but I think many will like it. Billy Bob Thornton is the main guy others include Jon Hamm, Ali Lartner and Demi Moore. On a side note. Nice to see Demi getting back int the business. Seems like she was gone for a while.
Here is the trailer for the show...

Like I said earlier...I think many will like this and it will be a hit.

Another show
Cross - It is the Alex Cross character from many of the James Patterson books.
Have only watched the first episode and enjoyed it. Hope the rest are good as well.

Did episode 2 of Landman actually air? I have the DVR set to record this show but can’t find the 2nd episode anywhere. It’s not on Paramount + for me either.

I watched on a "free" service. But it should be on paramount

Episode one was just called Landman
Episode two was called Dreamers and Losers

Paramount has put out two episodes of series different times, sometimes free on CBS to get you to get the service.

I still can’t find it on any platform. It was scheduled to air Sunday night but it never did here in Cali. I wonder if it had something to do with West Coast and football. Some programs always gets screwed up

Very Weird.

I have amazon fire stick.
In it's search function I type in landman

It comes up saying you can watch a free epsiode. But I got into the seasons and episodes link and it shows the first and second episode listed..only the first is free.
If you try to click on the second episode it says you have to subscribe to the Paramount+ app.

I used to keep paramount app and I still might get it off and on in the future. I like when the new seasons of star trek come on and I will go and binge watch some of the series.

I am watching "Troy: Fall of a City" on Netflix. The picking are slim for binging TV shows lately. I was looking for something to watch and found this. I have one episode left but since the series pretty much follows Greek mythology we all know how the story ends, minus a few details. It is not much of an action show since there isn't as much action as you might expect considering the characters are Hector and Achilles, among other Greek heroes. It is more like a soap opera, but not completely a soap opera.

This story is based on Greek mythology with all the usual Greek characters - Helen of Troy, Paris, Hector, Achilles, Menelaus, Agamemnon and Odysseus etc. and of course, the gods. If you remember reading the Iliad and Odyssey in middle school you get the picture.

There are some liberties taken with the story but overall the story follows Homer's writings.

Homer was a Greek so the mythology was written by the winners and the Greeks loved to embellish their stories. This show seems to be more from the perspective of the Trojans which is an interesting take. In some ways the Greeks look like the bad guys.

I don't recommend the series. It's a 4 out of 10 at best. It's not really what I thought it would be. However, watching it makes me want to go back and read Homer's poems again because all the characters and stories around them are really interesting considering the story is more than 3000 years old.

Lioness: Season 2 on Prime/Paramount+

I love this show. Zoe Saldana should get an Emmy for her role in this. I'm on episode 6, and it's much better than the first season, which I liked a lot.

Did anyone watch "Territory" on Netflix? I watched the first episode and I am not sure I will continue. It strikes me as an Australian version of "Yellowstone" which I started and quit after 2 episodes.

Just finished watching 1883.

They should have called it the Elsa show. I love Taylor Sheridan's work, haven't seen a bad show from him so far. But this one was the weakest of them all.

It was more of a coming of age story than anything else. Way too much sobbing for the last couple of hours. And I was eye rolling through the whole very last scene.

But it was still watchable of course. Great characters, awesome scenery, high production value and some good Sheridan like dialogs.

Depends on your expectations I guess. If they had killed of Elsa during half time, it would have been a better show for me.

1923 next. I hope it's closer to Yellowstone though. Less tears, more hard work and decisions please.

I liked 1883 better. But 1923 is almost two shows in one. Romance novel/Soap overseas for one son and the stuff at home is more like Yellowstone with gangster type stuff.

1923 still has at least another season to go. Delayed because of the strikes.

I loved 1883, from start to finish. I think Isabel Maye should have gotten an Emmy. She was believable as both, the rebellious daughter in the beginning, and as the tough cowboy, IMO.

Everyone played their role to perfection, the story was great and unpredictable, and the scenery was stunning.

Arcane on Netflix.

Probably the most intense, intelligent, well drawn animated series I've ever seen. I hope there's a season 3, but I don't think there will be.

I watched on episode and was done with it. I was sleepy when I watched it and to be fair maybe it got better. But no desire to see if it does. :p

It doesn't get better. I have one episode left and its pretty much the same the entire show.

My question is what happened to Australia? Boy they put out a lot of pabulum these days.

Sorry guys but anyone who watched the fight either wanted a freak show or had money to burn. I presume they got both missions accomplished
