***Official Streaming Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and other streaming sites thread***

Star Trek Starfleet Academy started thursday.
Two Episodes to start off the season.

The new Game of thrones A Knight of the seven Kingdoms starts this Sunday
They haven't even started S03 of House of the Dragons and releasing a new show.

ST Academy is suppose to be absolute crap. It's not ST anymore.

The Rip on Netflix with Affleck and Damon. It’s a decent crime drama probably better than it should be due to the cast. I give it a 7.5/10.

New House of dragons is to start after the Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

Too early to tell on new star trek. Has had mixed reviews. Hard Core trekkies rarely like the new shows initially.

This one has a feel of the two animated series mixed into a live series.

I finally got through Stranger Things Season 5. They should have ended this a few seasons ago. Its the same show over and over basically. The last episode is a 2 hour movie - which dragged in parts. There were times when I was watching this season and I prayed a comet would hit my house and end the nonsense. Some of it was truly maddening. So much wasted time.

Generally, when I start something I like to finish it. I have some kind of OCD. But there were so many scene where I wanted to turn this mess off.

I will give them credit though. The ending goes across the grain in the sense that it seems to actually end and all loose ends are tied up one way or another. So many shows today punt the ending with black screen or the dreaded GoT shockingly stupid ending where Bran gets the crown. Stranger Things ending was satisfying for fans.

I didn’t hate the last season, but I didn’t love it either. At times it felt like a bit of a slow burn, though there were definitely some strong moments throughout.

The final boss battle, however, felt incredibly anticlimactic. They spent the entire season building this guy up, and then it was just BOOM....over. Honestly, I think it took Joyce longer to cut his head off than it did to actually defeat him. I also couldn’t help but laugh at the scene where they decide to sprint up the cliffs to fight the giant spider. Do the writers even realize how long it would’ve taken them to climb those cliffs? lol

That said, I really did enjoy the very last scene. I thought it carried some meaningful weight and ended things on a strong note.

Watched the final episode of Hard Knocks: NFC East this morning. Meh. About 85% of it was focused on the Eagles. The only truly enjoyable part of the entire episode was the ending.......watching them lose to the Niners.
Then again, with the Eagles catching an L, maybe this episode has some replay value. :muttley:

First episode of GOT A Knight of Seven Kingdoms started Sunday.

First episode was meh, but I am sure it will pick up. I did not care for the first half of season one of House of Dragons.
However I did get a laugh in the first few minutes of this episode with him hunkered by the tree and the squirts flying out his butt.

Last episode of Season two of Landman.
For those that might have waited to binge watch.

Oh and the wife said I am not allowed to have a physical therapist come to the house to do my therapy. :p

I am debating whether I want to watch this show or not. I was a big GoT fan but House of Dragons was boring and disappointing. I feel HBO is trying to milk as much money out of the franchise as they can without regard for the quality of the stories. Maybe I am wrong. I still may wait until all the episodes are out and then binge it on Max.

House of Dragons almost lost me with that first season. But it has improved a great deal after the first season.

With that said...I would probably be more interested in spinoffs with Arya, Giants Bane, Sir Bron or even the Onion Knight.

Also Martin needs to finish off his game of thrones book before adding a bunch of new scripts for TV. He might wind up dying before he ever actually finishes it.

He's scared to finish it. The tv show ending response has him second guessing it all. I don't think he finishes it.

Came home tonight and the wife was watching a movie called Bone Lake. I was like, what? That sounds like an adult film.

I sat down and watched it with her. It was supposed to be a horror movie, but it didn’t feel like that to me. Mostly pretty stupid...yet somehow entertaining enough in that “I’ve already started, so I might as well finish it” kind of way. It was on Netflix. If you like campy slasher-type flicks, it might be worth a watch if you’ve got nothing else on..

The tension was played pretty well in a couple of scenes. Not as much built tension like speak no evil with McAvoy

I saw something the other day about an Arya spinoff starting soon. May have been b.s., but that's what it said.
I thought they said there would be something like 3-5 spin offs but the only one I remember was the knight of the seven kingdoms from a book he had written. Do not remember the ideas of the other ones.

I sort of wanted to watch it just because I really enjoyed the Star Trek reboot and their storyline of them in their training days. But if it's just teen angst in space, I'm out.
