That's how I felt about it too. Not the most exciting show, but it was entertaining enough to be watched.
 
Compliance(2012) on Prime. Wow, I can’t even find the right words for it. Sadistical, creepy, not sure how someone could keep following the commands. True story that happened about 70 times.
 
By comparison, I love Tubi, and I Hate Plex, for their many many many Commercial interruptions !!
 
What is with the Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
The last couple of episodes have only been around 30 minutes.

And what with the pooping? 3 episodes and we have to see a guys with the squirts and a horse squeezing one off. The writers must have arrested development.

But the show is also boring. I struggle to pay attention.

So far, it is just about a wanna-be-knight and his squire. It is terrible up to this point.

It sure is. The last episode ended with what I think was supposed to be an exciting revelation, but my reaction was, "who cares?" or "so what?"

GRRM is a Giants fan so maybe that's his thing.

Youtube has really been doing good on their free movie selections. If you have youtube premium you can watch those free ones without ads.

Other than that Tubi is by far the best for the ads and they have even added more than they had before.
 


I remember this coming out some time back and for whatever reason I did not watch it even though it piqued my interest.
Finally got around to watch it...only 6 episode mini series and based or inspired by real events.
Pretty good binge watch if you are stuck in the house due to weather.
 
Finished Spartacus House of Ashur.

If you liked the original spartacus series, you will enjoy this. NOT for young eyes. Lots of fighting, blood and nudity.
I liked the original much better as the John Hanna and Lucy Lawless made a good husband/wife dynamic. But if you liked those series, this one is ok just not as good. If you thought the originals were silly and stupid, do not waste your time on this one. Oh and Leigh Gill playing Satyrus steals some scenes with his fun/wild character.
 
Starfleet Academy episode 5. In the first few seconds of the episode, I thought it was going to be one of those "too far out there" stories. But it turned out to be a really good episode. I'm sure @DallasEast will love it, if he hasn't already seen it.

I suspect the writers were thinking, "what taboo topic has not been depicted in a series or movie yet?".. "Ah, yes, of course! It's pooping! Let's do it!"

Yeah, sure. Mention the Star Trek nerd. :D

Everything about Star Trek examines the human condition. That's what makes it such a long-lasting and enduring franchise, in my opinion. Of course, the various series' episodes veer away from their core insight, but they never really derail from it either.

I have loved all five episodes so far. The show is youthful, playful, and frankly cocky at times, but each episode has gotten its central message across. The first episode was about human forgiveness. The second episode was about humanity's innate fear of trust. The third one was about human growth in a shared community. And the fourth (my favorite thus far) was about human identity, both in oneself and those you share familial ties with, whether by blood or friendship.

Episode five pulled on my heartstrings as well. Tying it so strongly with a previous series, essentially as a tribute to it and its cast, made me enjoy it even more. And its central theme, self-discovery in who you are and what your existence means, was conveyed very well.

Props to the writers so far. The show is quirky. It's intentional and I am certain that is one reason why Holly Hunter was drawn to it. Hopefully, the show will keep the same level of smart energy going.

Each episode has been like a cadet origin story. I have been waiting patiently for Bella Shepard's turn. She plays Genesis. She was on another Paramount+ series called Wolf Pack a few years ago. It had Sarah Michelle Geller as its main draw, but four of the younger actors were the leads, including Shepard.

I really liked that show. Liked what Shepard brought to the story. Thought it had potential. It got axed after one season. I am still pissed, especially after the cliffhanger. Now, I think Paramount+ may have dumped it from the lineup to go floating through the streaming heavens. Idiots should be thankful I am a Star Trek nerd so I didn't just up and cancel it for that nonsense. :mad:

The Cheronian had a longer appearance in e5 too, though still no dialogue. I really hope she gets a bigger role.
