Just saw that Peacock has made their deal with Roku. It's just a matter of time for HBO Max now. Odd streamer out is no way to get into this battle.
I watched Utopia on Amazon over the weekend and thought it was pretty good.
Keep watching as it gets even better as he evolves more into Saul in future seasons. I have not even seen the latest season yet but heard it's great. I agree about Kim Wexler. It's a shame that the actress hasn't won any awards for that role.Just finished season 1 of Better Call Saul. Good show. No, Great Show. Great writing. Jimmy brings taht same character from breaking bad to this series and is just great. I love Kim Wexler. I want to run off with her. Girl next door pretty, loyal, and just enough pushing to not be obnoxious.
She is really great. It is through her eyes that we see the Jimmy behind the Saul he created.Keep watching as it gets even better as he evolves more into Saul in future seasons. I agree, it's less sci-fi than drama, but I'm okay with that. Finish the season and risk the 2 hours being a waste...or don't. I don't know if whatever happens by season's end would change your mind, since they don't completely overhaul the formula. It's still mostly about interpersonal relationships, and that's probably going to be the focus for as long as the show runs. It's TV drama, but at least it's not yet another hospital or cop drama.
Yeah, I dropped The 100 after season 3 or 4. I was starting to get iffy about it when the hot sister suddenly became a badass.okay, finished all 10 episodes. It seems like this series is about 35% trip to Mars and 65% family issues. I'd like to think when we send astronauts to MARs they will be focused on the mission and their families, if they have any, will be fully supportive and not selfish whiney little beotches. I mean seriously, in real life what 15 yr old kids would ignore phones calls on her cell while her mom was about to attempt a life saving space walk a million miles from earth? Kids ruin Sci-Fi and Horror stories.
Having said that, the cinematography is fantastic. The science is almost 100% accurate even if the story lines are stupid. For example, when trying to solve the water problem (ignoring all the obvious issues with this storyline, if you are going to drill into the walls of your spacecraft wouldn't you set your drill bit to a very specific depth to ensure you do not puncture the outer hull of the ship? and if there is a bladder of water between the outer and inner hulls to reduce radiation, then wouldn't that have to be of some measurable thickness, enough so that only a moron would drill through it and then through the outer hull? Sorry, I get a little carried away with realism in my old age!
It was a predictable ending. I knew what was going to happen almost 3 minutes into the finale episode. I just hope they do not drag out the solution through then entire 2nd season like they dragged out the water problem in season 1. But I will probably watch season 2 anyway.
Next I will watch the Mars docudrama followed by the final season of The 100, which started off pretty good then jumped the shark a few seasons in. I am guessing Season 7 will be a fiasco but I have to watch.

Today is the season finale already?I thought that was a solid season finale for The Boys. This season definitely wasn't as strong as the first and could have used a few more episodes, but I thought the last 3 episodes finished strongly.

GLOW season 4 cancelled by Netflix. Bummer.
I want to reply to this, but I don't know how to create a spoiler post.I thought that they packed a whole lot into the one episode. I thought that they resolved so many season plot lines, but left enough questions for the future as well.
I like that they seemingly reset things and moved a whole bunch of pieces around the board.
I didn't expect Butcher's wife to die, and I now expect that's the last we see of Homelander's son for a while. Speaking of him, I guess we finally discovered his weakness. I wasn't sure that he had one. That last scene with him was just bonkers.
And I've never seen a show write off characters so quickly. Pop goes your head! You're dead!
Departed heroes back in the Seven. Compound V back under wraps for the time being. And Huey going to work for the head popper. I guess that church storyline is done with now too?
I loved seeing Stormfront exposed and then getting what's coming to her. That part with the other three women was great. I have a question though, is she actually dead? Or is what's left of her being stashed somewhere?
Anyway, lots of stuff to digest.
