And I stand by that post and this one. We didn't make our defense better that offseason and it showed versus Green Bay when it mattered the most. We caught lightning in a bottle with Dak and made the playoffs (which no one could have predicted), but it was with a last place schedule and in spite of our defense. This year's offseason is worse because of the suspensions and because our rivals got comparably better on offense and we are relying on rookies and unproven players on defense. Again, I hope I am wrong and I am not showing you your email next year.

You do realize the difference between a "first place schedule" and "last place schedule" is two games, right?

While New England reloaded for another Super Bowl, I can't help but feel like this offseason has gone off the rails for us. I am trying to be optimistic, and I love our core, but I fear that the tumult of this offseason will result in a pretty big step back on the field this year. And it will take another year for us to reach our Super Bowl potential. In a nutshell:

1. Jerry misplays the Romo situation and we get nothing for a franchise QB who still can play.
2. We make no free agent signings of note and lose 3/4 of our starting DBs (which I was OK with) and 2/5 of our starting OL.
3. We miss out on all of the speed pass rushers in the first round of the draft (and allow Atlanta to leapfrog us for the last one) and draft yet another LDE.
4. Our most promising pass rusher and disruptor, David Irving, gets suspended 4 games, continuing a pattern set by D Law and Gregory.
5. Our starting SLB, and best coverage LB, Damien Wilson, assaults a woman with his car and pulls a rifle on her friends. No doubt, he'll be suspended for a long time.
6. Our franchise RB may be suspended, according to John Clayton.
7. Even our choir boy QB and leader is accused of fraud, for selling memorabilia he did not sign by hand.

On top of this, we have a very difficult first place schedule. I am excited for our future. But, in all honesty, I expect to be diaappointed this season.

Officially one of the worst threads ever. Instead of wanting some kind of media splash to cheer about, delve into what the Cowboys have been doing for the last several years. If you do, then you'll see that there is nothing to worry about. They are going about things in the way that will produce consistently winning results.

While I will somewhat agree, it’s not up to me, to replace the dirty yards Murray fought for on his own.

Randle needs to learn, that everything he can earn, he will do so with hard work and his feet.

So shut your mouth, keep your baby mama drama in-house, and prove it in a little less than 8 weeks.


The infamous Greg Hardy, the perennial life of the media party, has issues on both sides of the page.

From crossing pc lines on twitter to allegedly being a woman-hitter, he may be better suited for a cage.

But now donning the silver & blue, the haters may boo but the Cowboys faithful will take him in embrace

Just so long as he plays, does so well on Sundays and lives in the opposing quarterbacks face.


The oft-berated Brandon Carr, wants to be paid like a superstar and refuses to consider playing for less.

With his best years behind him, he is clearly cashing in, screaming to anyone who will listen “I feel blessed!”

Be that as it may, there could come a day when he looks back on these years spent with the Cowboys in vain.

This year is his last chance to change the public stance that he looks like Tarzan but plays like Jane.


Randle Gregory the rookie, was worth a looksy, where the Cowboys took him in the second round

Considered a top 10 talent, the Cowboys put him in a balance, and gambled he could put the doobies down.

That remains to be seen, but on the TV screen his eyes sure do look squinty, foggy and red

Some say that’s how he looks, others say he’s cooked; but I say a pothead knows a pothead.


Now that we are caught up, we are collectively stuck in the blackhole of the offseason.

Two more months, to get over this last bump and once again are lives will have reason.

Guess u werent a fan of the QBless Cowboys offseason before Bledsoe and Romo.

1. No team wanted to trade for Rlomo because of a bad back.
2. There were FA's to sign that fit Dallas? Are people really crying bout DBs who they cried about during the season?

I agree, but the stakes are higher this offseason. This was a playoff team that had a chance to go to the super bowl.
