really? and when Romo goes down, then what? Give me evidence Romo can still take an NFL hit. My favourite player is Zeke for the record. Im not upset, I just dont trade away the guy that helped win 13 games for possibilities.Yes it's a terrible analogy. You have blinders on, you're so emotionally attached to your favorite player Dak Prescott that you fail to see what other are saying because you're so upset, it's called a tantrum. If we pick up 3-4 1st round picks on defense (picks #1,12,28,33) plus add Jaylon Smith we're playing for the Superbowl in 2017/2018 with Tony Romo. Hell we could bring in Trent Dilfer from the booth to win it all.
We aren't winning **** with this defense, IDC who the QB is. With that said I like Dak and I believe Dak will be here, but we are talking about the other side of the coin right now. The other side has something to do with the fact Tony Romo may have 3-4 years left in this league and Dak has tremendous trade value.
Then why trade Romo genius? No you are a troll bringing up trading our franchise QB for draft picks which are basically scratch tickets no matter where you pick. You dont trade in a winning lottery ticket for 3-4 more lottery tickets., PERIOD.
Because Romo is 37 years old and cant stay on the field? Was that a serious question. Then why trade Romo genius?

I think this is the 3rd or 4th recent thread covering this, btwI've seen lots of threads talking about how much we can get for Romo. I've seen threads talking about trading up in the draft. Even seen a few posts joking/talking about trading Dak.
Here's my question, what would you take to actually trade Dak away and roll forward with Romo? Start the search for yet another back-up?
For me, I won't say "never," but I just wouldn't. Cleveland's first for the next few years and I'd get interested, but probably not even then.
What about you?
You would have to love another QB in the draft as part of the "deal that will never happen". Anyone can go down at anytime in the NFL. I remember the Andrew Luck crowd saying the same thing about Peyton Manning after neck fusion surgery. His injury was much worse, he rehabbed and had some of his best statistical years and went to two SB's in Denver winning one.
I would not be surprised if Romo has 3 great years in the NFL with someone else. I also would not be surprised if he goes down. You never know.
He might stay on the field.
Would I trade Dak for Myles Garrett, one of the top qb prospects in this draft and a future Browns 1st rounder to be named?
Not just yes. But hell yes.
Dak excelled in our system more because of the players around him than because of him himself. That's not a knock on him. Especially considering how qbs played last year for us with similar talent around them. But let's stop pretending Dak was a tremendous prospect coming out of school. And let's not pretend like having a great year means you're a great qb (Blake Bortles nodding sadly).
Give me a tremendous edge rusher an elite qb prospect for Tony to mold and a future Browns first for Dak. With the upside of getting better qb play in Romo over Dak. .
Is this a comedy routine? All 3 of those players have been in the league for nearly a decade, with their teams roster ebbing and flowing over the years with different strengths and weaknesses. They've proven they can excel under many different scenarios. So did Brady, ARogers, Matt Ryan do this with the same criteria? Or only Dak does this?

Here's a trivia question for you, in the history of the NFL, how many QBs have played on a team that for the season had 3 first team All-Pros on the offensive line and a first team All-Pro running back?
The answer to the trivia question should be in numeric form.So ignore what I said. Dak is the ONLY player in the league that doesnt' excel because of his smarts or talent. Other players do, but not Dak.

Roethlisberger had all that and a pro bowl WR in Hines Ward plus 4 pro bowlers on defense.

It was his rookie year too yet you didn't hear anyone making your arguments against him.
Russell Wilson only had two pro bowl OL to go with Lynch but I think all those turnovers and short fields that all world defense gave him helped.

Even the best QBs are dependent on their supporting cast.

Brady had Moss ,an awesome OL, and defense and set offensive records which he has not come close to since.

Rodgers was not very good in 2015 when the cupboard was bare.
Awww man, now my feelings are hurt...I'm good at Madden though! And even in that game I'm not dumb enough to trade the 23 year old rookie that just won me 13 games.I agree... you'd be a horrible gm.
