Ogletree is Balling!!!

I think we may have gotten a steal with this guy.

Anyway, at least we know for sure who our top 5 WRs are now after this game.

yeah, it's pretty obvious now that Ogletree has made the squad, he jumped ahead of Stanabach and Manuel Johnson, to be the #3 in a dress rehearsel game

A big part of the production problem was the UVa quarterbacks were just this side of gawdawful...

that's just crazy then

teams usually overlook college production, hell, college QBs manage to get picked pretty highly in the draft to play WR

everyone really missed the boat on this guy, and hopefully the shine over Stanbach has gone out of Jerry's eyes

Ogletree has done nothing but step up to the plate from day one. He started at the bottom of the depth chart and made plays. I am thrilled the kid got it done this week with the starters. Austin and hurd may want to tighten up a bit or ogletree will slip past them to. Prossman

I missed the 1st quarter and didn't get to see Ogletree which tells me he is on the team and the coaches had seen enough.

Stanback however, is out. Feel bad for him but its time to move on. He has shown nothing, has been hurt often and flopped completely tonight.

I guess we'll stash Jefferson or M Johnson or another rookie WR on the PS.

Well..Stanback totally laid a goose egg today. He gets one more chance to impress and that's it.

With all the injuries to the LBs, it wouldn't surprise me if we kept an extra one.

Ogletree looked like he belonged tonight.

I'm not knocking Miles Austin by any means cause I really feel he had a pretty good game but why can't Ogletree be considered one of our field stretching WRs. The dude ran a 4.3 forty so he's fast and that play where romo under threw him he looked like he got up field pretty quick

He doesn't really play as fast as he times... his game is the mid-range passing game...

I think that's exactly where the roster spot will go - at LB.

For those of us who didn't see the game, what did Ogletree do?

Stephen Jones said as much at half time, maybe looking for help there.

he looked like he could start in this league, played against 1s, and had good timing with romo, and seemed to have romo's trust.. looked great.

Did he catch any balls? How many? For how much yardage?

Hey, drew pearson didnt get drafted in a 17 round draft I believe. Could it be? Prossman

Ogletree looks like a natural. He reminds me a little bit of Chad Johnson. (No I don't think he is a whack job.) He gets in and out of his cuts, has great hands and body control. I enjoy watching him play better than any rookie receiver since I can't remember. Great pickup.

2 for 36. not much, but enough to put him over stinbach for good.

Yes, I have. I didn't recall him attending UVa. Anyone else?

Sigh... guess you didn't see the freakin' SMILEY at the end of my first post in this thread, indicating I was being PLAYFUL...

But since you ask, more recently the Cavs sent Billy McMullen and Terrence Wilkins to the NFL...

He looked like a :star: out there and Romo looked comfortable going to him. Very impressive game by Ogletree.

2 catches for 36 yards.

He was open a number of times. Romo missed him on a deep pass. Tree was WIDE OPEN. Romo was rushed and couldn't put enough on the pass, so he underthrew it for an INT.

2 for 36, had a couple of plays where he was open, 1 I wasn't sure if Romo missed him or he ran the wrong route, the other.. Romo just had a bad pass and it got picked off... but Ogletree had his guy beat from what I saw.

Also had a nice kick return at the end of the half...
