I would like to see a trade down in the 1st for an extra 3rd or 2nd. There are a lot of really good players in the 2nd/3rd in the draft, IMO.

This is my perfect scenario

Reality is that Donald will be there in 23-26 range so we should really look for a trade down partner and take OL with that extra pick

LOL at the people that want draft for need. Give me a blue chipper anywhere over a red chip need. And BTW Free, Leary and Waters are the answer for how much longer? Oh thats right, not much. The Cowboys are one blue chip OL from having a dominant line for a decade.

At 16? I don't think any elite talent will be there. Also look at the Claiborne trade vs. the Frederick trade, which one yielded the good player. Not saying that will always happen like that, but you can trade down and get a better result.

Look at most of Jerry's trade downs, or trades in general, they dont look so hot.

This is a very deep draft, I have no problem with a trade down.

I think Martin is either a RT or if he is a guard he will be great. I don't see LT at all for him. Probably should be a G, just from his mobility drills.

Yeah someone is going to take Thomas at a tackle in the 2nd...too bad because I think he would make a perfect LG for us.

I dont think anyone will draft him as a OT. Just doesn't have the height or size. I think he is a true LG

Lol this thread. If Dallas picks a OL before round 4 ill be pissed. they need depth that can develop to a starter. You can get those later in the draft

Just don't respond to any of my posts pleaee. Your so disrespectful and have no clue about football.

Have you studied dallas draft history with late round OL. It's not good. Did you even read the post. If so you would understand if you had common sense and understand Free is gone after this year, Leary is on a broken knee and Bernadeau is not the long term answer. You show you intelligence thinks that our OL is good and set for the future.

Thomas might have moved up a round. His measurables are terrific.

Player Brandon Thomas
Ht 6'3
Wt 317
Forty 4.97
Ten 1.78
Bench 35
Arm 34 3/4

Robinson is a freak.

Player Greg Robinson
Ht 6'5
Wt 332
Forty 4.88
Ten 1.69
Bench 32
Arm 35
Thomas probably did. Might be a early 3rd now. I would be fine with him as a 2nd round pick . I think he can start at LG day one

You mean late picks like Leary and Free? Who are starting for the cowboys?

I want D Line as bad as anyone but you can't go wrong drafting O Line these next few years. Helps Romo now and ensures O Line is solid when it's time to bring in a young QB down the road.

Thats why you draft depth later in the draft like i said.

It's not for depth. We can draft a OG to start day one and if we draft a OT it's to start next year after Free is cut. Did you read my original post because all your comments are making you look ignorant

Can't think of a scenario where I'd be happy taking Oline at 16 unless a total fluke happened and one of the top 3or4 OTs fell to us...and I even hesitate after the top three.
Trade down for sure before taking a guard or anything after those 4

Leary was not a draft choice, despite Jerry Jones' efforts to make it sound like we picked him in the 8th round.

No I mean like nagy, arkin, Costa and several more. Free will be gone next year and Leary isn't much to brag about.

ok well they arent in Dallas. But 2 starters are considered low draft picks. I might add that Free and Leary played over 990 of Dallas 997 total offensive snaps. Lol and Leary was a beast. The guy constantly opened up with Tyron the left side. Thats where most of Murrays yardage came from. hahaha you people are ridiculous
