What are you doing tonight trouty? Watching some more football. I can't tell you how much l loath losing to those Eagles. Garrett is so gutless...not playing to win. That 14-2 would have been great. Should have kept Tony in for a couple more drives...that would have been enough!

I don't think Garrett wanted to give anything away. He wanted to play a vanilla game before the playoffs so our upcoming opponents won't have tape on any exotic play-calling. I loathe losing to those sons of guns, too, Boxer.

Anyone else cooking up black eyed peas and stewed tomatoes?

Husband made black eyed peas with rotel, rice, onion, cilantro, jalapeno, garlic, and cheese. Oh, and bacon pieces. The rotel's got the tomatoes, so yeah, I guess we did. lol. I really don't like black eyed peas, though. I've tried for forty plus years to, I just can't do it, unless it's with cabbage. But we fried up a bunch of fish and shrimp last night, ate it with potato salad and cole slaw, so I thought cabbage wouldn't go too well with it. lol. We'll have cabbage with something soon, though. I love cabbage and can eat it raw or cooked. :)

You might be right there, Trout. I gotta say, though, I was so depressed I could hardly breathe right after the game. Heck, actually ever since they let that last touchdown opportunity whiff by and settled for a field goal. I told Lane they would do that, and dammed if they didn't. Ugh! I said, and watch the Eagles score a touchdown next. And dammed if they didn't!! I lost my fire after that. Could barely watch anymore. I wanted us to go out of the season on top, to dominate to the end. To show teams we might meet in the playoffs that we don't quit! And that 14-2 was gonna look so beautiful sitting up on the mantle there, with all the other great records our team has set this year. The ramblings of a loving, but selfish, fan. Aww shucks. {kicks a rock}

I do know one thing, they need to get rid of Sanchez and let Free quietly retire. I think Sanchez is a nice enough fella, but he has always been a bad qb, imo. And Mr. Free has done well for us, but he doesn't have the gas or strength anymore. It's seriously time to let him go. :(

No, sounds great!! I've put bacon in cabbage, but I always just soft cook it on the stove in chicken broth or something. I like to put red onion and shredded carrots in it. I might try it your way next. Do you cook the bacon first? Or saute it all together. Cut the bacon up or leave it in strips?

Kim, I'm not so low on Free, but his struggles certainly show more when he's counted on to do more. He's a decent RT, and it's confounding that Green can't stay healthy, as Green flashed above-average talent after he got his feet wet.

I'm hoping that Garrett harnesses this loss and uses it as motivation during our two week break. I hope he makes the team feel the sting of this loss, and that he highlights how important our starters are going forward on this run.

Zeke was pacing the sideline like a dog waiting for a T-bone. Dak couldn't take his arms off his shoulder pad collar. Garrett just needs to whip our Boys into the mantra, that this is what losing is, and we aren't having any more of it :)

Cut the bacon up, thick cut bacon, then put some olive oil in the pan (always use olive oil :)), after about 1 minute throw the cabbage in the pan so it (cabbage) doesn't get too soft. Cook till the bacon is ready, should be about another 1:30 minutes.

Old Irish dish :)

And did you see Sean Lee on the sideline?? Even though he wasn't even slotted to play today, he stood there fully suited, and even had his helmet on! LOL. I love that fire and dedication! :)

I hope so, too, Trouty. I hope this is the last game we lose this year. ;)
