I have the feeling that Edoga is a typical, serviceable vet that the Cowboys hope to upgrade in the draft, but could start in a pinch.

I think our 2023 Oline will look like this:

OT: Smith, Smith, Steele, Waletzko
OG: Martin, Draft pick, Edoga, Farniok
C: Biadasz, Farniok

Depending on the pick, this could be a pretty good, deep line.

Look at what you've got on the interior oline.
Farniok, veteran min G, and hope for the *starting* LG and all the backups.

The oline is a lot better if Tyler goes to LG. Even if we spend our 1st at G, which I am against unless another Zack falls to us, we're probably still better just moving Tyler to LG.

Exactly what I think as well.

Im betting they draft a guard in the first or 2nd round and he starts. They have been talking about Steele as the swing tackle which to me indicates they doubt he will be ready to start the season healthy. Then I am sure they are anticipation Tyron going down at some point.

Cyrus from Florida................considered the top interior offensive lineman in the draft by many scouts.............will almost for sure go in the 1st round.

ESPN has him listed as 6-5, 347.................he would be an absolute monster at LG if we could get him.

You want to run the ball more, picking this dude at 26 will go a long way to accomplishing that goal, talk about a road grader.

I don't have much confidence in Edoga right now. Maybe he can convince me in training camp and pre-season. But it does bring up the point again that they seem hesitant to move Tyler Smith inside. It would be a shame to take Terence Steele off the field.

Steele was ok as right tackle but horrible at LT in year 2021. Also his run blocking is good whereas pass blocking is average. He is coming back from serious injury and will take time to be be fully there , look at 2022 Gallup , he was sub par.
