It isn't bare, but when the only way you can get to Rodgers is by blitzing in a scheme built around the defensive line getting upfield and getting pressure, you've got some real needs on your line.
Adding someone like Chandler Jones would help, but if he doesn't re-sign with Arizona, he's probably going to be seeking a Oliver Vernon-type deal. Then, you've got Melvin Ingram, whose a little light for 4-3 end, and Jason Pierre-Paul, who's a couple years removed from a 10-plus-sack season. Or you roll the dice on a player like Mario Addison, whose coming off a career year. but at least was a decent spot rusher his previous two years.
Where we are drafting, the top ends will be out of reach, but maybe a Demarcus Walker will be there for us if the draft rankings I'm looking at are accurate or a Takkarist McKinley, who would probably fit more in the Simeon Rice mold.
What we need is a tone-setter. An end who can consistently get pressure or draw double-teams to allow the inconsistent rushers like Mayowa, Irving, Crawford and Lawrence a better chance to break through.
