Novacek

j/k I just have a thing about good TE's

Probably Emmitt.. if we had a good running game we would be tough to beat.

Even with this run blocking scheme Emmitt would thrive. TP is too impatient. ES would make the first guy miss and find the hole.

I like TP and Dowdle but I’m ready for some new faces in the backfield.
Great post!

Deion. And don't give me anyone pre '92.

Guys from the 70s would look like alcoholic uncles on the field compared to today's players.
Ok, but I would counter that with saying any pre 92 player playing today would be at the same physical conditioning as current players. To me, you can't compare players from different eras without 'seeing' them on an equal platform of conditioning. They still obviously had the skills just not the science players have today to elevate them to the physical condition of players today. And I would add that players in the past played through injuries and showed more 'grit' than a lot of players do today. And yes I realize that the reason for that is the players safety, but man, the old timers really gave their heart, body, and soul on the field.

Say any player you bring makes them drop the starting #1 at that position.

Emmitt comes in, then you have to drop Pollard.
Irvin comes in then you have to drop Lamb
Troy comes in, you have to drop Dak
Haley comes in, you have to drop Lawrence.
Deion come in, and you have to drop Bland.

Thinking like that... who you swap out from the legends for our #1?

I would have to vote for Larry Allen! Second choice would be Travis Frederick!

L'roi Glover would totally change this team IMO. But #22 would be my choice. My non player choice - Jimmy Johnson

I like the MB3 and MLB picks. I'll go with Erik Williams pre-accident at RT. Assuming the other guys are healthy, no more worries on the line with Steele gone. Just a weaker center.

I’d stick with my original choice of Ken Norton Jr. Stout against the run and can provide some pass rush help.
