Has to be driving Jerry crazy keeping his powder dry this long.

Must be saving up the big signing bonuses now to be able to afford the move up to #4 for Dmac! Get it done Jerry...

And he's still not selling the farm to get DMac. Even if he's the only so called 'wow' player left in peoples mind.

Hell No.

haha has it ever occured to anyone on here that jerry was maybe .. just maybe blowing smoke when all of that started. ? Mcfadden is the only possible realistic choice outside of Roy Williams (det. ) . and even both of those are long shots. we will probably just use our draft picks and quietly enter mini camps. :bang2:

If the draft picks go the way many seem to feel they will, I believe Jones will take a CB with our first pick, but then try to trade down with the #28 pick in the hope of getting additional 2nd and/or 3rd round picks, and then possibly pick a RB when we make our second pick. I'll be quite surprised if we actually end up making two picks in the first round.

I think Jerry made a big mistake mentioning "Wow" as it pertains to any offseason upgrades. If he'd never said a thing, people wouldn't be stuck on supposed "wow" moves.

Good point.

Agreed.

Jerry used this same "wow" line last year, and we didn't get anyone like that. (In hindsight it seems he had Peterson in mind, and that obviously didn't work out.)

So I don't know why this "wow" thing is such a big deal this year.

People want McFadden...and they want him any way they can get him.

Guess it's true....We cant go a day without a new thread about moving up to get DMac. :bang2:

..there is still the draft coming up..

..possibly more surprise cuts coming up that the Cowboys might be anticipating happening that haven't hit the radar yet..

..and after the draft, some teams will probably release some players once they get rookies drafted they want..

Who knows...? I remember Eddie George hitting FA suddenly and it was well after the waves of FA's were signed and we had cap dollars to get it done because we waited..

oooppss...bad example maybe..

Haa haaa...

..but you get my drift.

Still time to make something out of nothing.

Jerryworld would have to be loaned out through 2015 to afford the Fitz

Where there's a will, there's a way. He's the best receiver in the league, IMO. Noone has his physical presence, soft hands, gamebreaking ability all wrapped up in one. I think he's great. But the chances of us (or anyone else) landing him are slim to none - that's for sure.

Which is why it's obviously a good thing that most of the fans here are not running businesses or making decisions that require actual money.

How's this for a scenario? At #22, pick the best cornerback available. Trade the 28th pick to Detroit for Roy Williams, and then in the second round find a way to move up and select a running back. Maybe trade Ellis or Fats Domino Spears to Miami for the top pick in the second round?

Count me as one of those who don't want McFadden. If the Cowboys had no problem areas which must be addressed & had the cap space, that would be a different matter. But we desperately need CBs, a WR, & a RB cause we unable to address any of these positions in FA although it is possible down the road that some vets get cut & we could sign them to cheap 1 year deals to help out at certain positions of need.
