Count me as one of those who don't want McFadden. If the Cowboys had no problem areas which must be addressed & had the cap space, that would be a different matter. But we desperately need CBs, a WR, & a RB cause we unable to address any of these positions in FA although it is possible down the road that some vets get cut & we could sign them to cheap 1 year deals to help out at certain positions of need.

I'm with you, I think trading one first round pick for a WR would be smart, nab a CB with the higher first round pick and then in the second get another rb.

I swear, some people have minds like a steel trap. The only problem with a steel trap is it can snap your head off.

Unless Jerry Jones has solid information suggesting Darren McFadden is going to drop in the Draft we will not be watching him in blue and silver. It is not going to happen. No matter how many different ways the topic gets spun, no matter what illogical trade scenarios are cooked up, no matter how much you like him. I like him too, but damn, it's time to live in the real world.

Unless by WOW, Jerry was talkin about WOW lets trade away our FUTURE and our salary cap and draft picks for one player at a position we already have a pro-bowler, then get it done and I'll be like WOW, we just made a Herschel walker like trade, only this time it's NOT in our favor, WOW I can't believe we did that, WOW!

The actual LENGTH of the contract doesn't matter, we coudl of signed him to a 15 year contract if we wanted too, it's basically a 3 year deal and then we can be done with him!

I'd rather have a CB and Felix Jones then McFadden.

Felix Jones will most likely be there in the 2nd. The guy hasn't shown enough to be drafted in the first.

If we aren't going for McFadden, I'd rather have a player like Ray Rice than a Felix Jones...

Maybe the WOW meant we would sign 2 pro bowl FA's. Which we did.

What would you guys think if Jerry gave up the 28th pick and got Roy Williams?

I wouldn't have a problem with it if it can be fit in to the cap.....which means I don't think it will happen.

Maybe Zach Thomas is a WOW (World of Warcraft) player and you all just misunderstood what Jerry meant.

Remember, Tony has yet to restructure his contract so there is room to be gained yet....

No thanks. Why handicap the Cowboys by losing multiple high draft picks for one guy that hasn't proven squat? Nobody knows if McFadden will even come close to the production of Adrian Peterson.

Good RB's can be had with the picks we already have. I myself would love Ray Rice to compliment Marion.

So far so good, IMHO...The only question mark I'd put would've been on the Mewelde Moore signing...The money looked palatable but oh well.

Otherwise, I like prudent Jerry so far...Just means he's going to approach the 2nd wave of free agency and roster cuts more aggressively, IMHO.

Plus, there's the draft ;)

It is a possibility but then we might just stand pat and use the picks.

Didn't Moore go to the Steelers? Anyway, I'm a little board with free agency, mainly due to our lack of a splash. But you're right, Jerry is being smart about all of this. He's taking care of his own first, and seemingly getting all of his ducks in a row before the second wave of free agency and the start of the draft.

I'd do it in a heart-beat.

We would have instantly upgraded our offense. One point missed in this is that it would also allow Crayton to move back to a number 3, where he more than excels as the guy that moves the chains.

It would also allow more developmental time for a player like Stanback or Austin.
