Internet says there's a new drug policy. Might be announced in time to fly OScan back for the game. Certainly for week 2. That is huge!

Knowing our luck it won't be applicable to his punishment as his occurred under different policy. Yep, my Cowboys glass is more than half empty at this point.

Where are you seeing they agreed on a new policy?

New NFL drug testing policy could come at any time

We could be moments away from the NFL and its players agreeing to a new policy on drug testing.

A league source tells PFT that momentum keeps building for the new policy to get done. The source added, “I’m expecting an announcement at any time.”

Publicly, the players’ union has been very cautious, noting that a deal isn’t done until it’s formally agreed upon by both sides. And it’s still possible that some unforeseen snag could come up to derail the whole thing.

But there’s encouraging progress on a new policy that would finally begin the process of using blood tests to check players for human growth hormone, in addition to changing other aspects of the policy including raising the level of marijuana that would trigger a positive test, and making the offseason use of amphetamines a

I don't care so much about him for this game. Just need him to be there for weeks 2 and 3. Have to win those two on the road.

Union has said many times they don't want suspensions under old policy to apply for this year. Can't see why league would have a different stance

So do we dance or cling to the ledge, I'm still thinking about jumping. Where's the Cowboyfan Negotiator?

Everyone does realize the legal repercussions that will occur if they reduce or eliminate any of these players suspensions? They broke the rules that were in place at the time. Players lost jobs because they broke those rules. It's comparable to me getting a speeding ticket for going 65 in a 50. Then months later they change the road to 65. I will still have that speeding ticket regardless IMHO

There are no legal repercussions if this is collectively bargained to reduce suspensions. NFLPA is gunning to have them reduced. NFL doesn't want to. Stay tuned.

Legal repercussions?

Let's not be so dramatic. A negotiated agreement between two sides is not the same as a law
