Now all we really have on Darius Jackson are HIGHLIGHTS which isn't the same as "tape"/game film but based on those highlights he really seems to run with authority, although he seems to run a little high. Plus with Ezekiel, the potential of any other running back seems superfluous especially someone like Jackson who might end up on the PS. But he seems like he might have something in a couple of years, maybe as a spell back to Elliott.

Kids got juice. Would love to see him stick on the 53. He can return kicks and play all the teams. Could also take over the 3rd down role if Dunbar and DMC are cut

Best back after EzE. Don't care if he's a 6th rounder who has proved nothing. He won't make it to the ps. Doesn't make much sense to keep both Mac and Morris. He could also give us a nice option as a returner.

He seems more talented that his draft spot. How would you rank the backs?

He is a long shot this year to make the team. He was a nonfactor at a low level college until his senior year and the team went 1 and 11 this season. This typically doesnt translate to nfl success and he has a big learning curve. Had it not been for his impressive workout he wouldnt be in the nfl right now. Probably a practice squad candidate if he shows something in camp and perhaps in 2017 he can compete for the number 3 spot.

Those are high expectations for a 1 year starter on a 1 and 11 low level college football program. I hope he shows something, but it would be a shock if he takes a spot from Morris or Mcfadden. I know many can say Morris was a 6th rounder and Dunbar was undrafted, but each is a very different situation. We see 4.35 speed and size and hope that translates to the nfl.

If he shows anything I can't see him passing waivers and I can see Dallas carrying an extra RB or two,,, unless they get jammed up with injuries in TC. Having to carry extra DEs might create a numbers problem too.

I'd take that, but I wish he could return punts. This year the ball will be placed on the 25 on touchbacks and I don't know if kickoff returns will be the same, but I am not sure. I just think punt returners are hard to find....well good one.

Lucky for him, we have a stellar o-line. He doesn't create much on his own (that I can see), but it he does have a big frame and straight-line speed. Don't think he offers much without big holes being made for him in front of him; (thinking Tevin Coleman-ish).

If he gets a full training camp with 0 injuries or time missed.

Elliott
Dunbar (healthy)
Jackson
Morris
McFadden

Jackson would be primary backup to Elliott even though slotted behind Dunbar. Lance holds a very good value to this team when healthy.

Doesn't have to be that way.

Thoughts: I'm not sure if it is poor vision or that godawful blocking he was getting but it's not pretty. His QB is terrible. Very quick and fast.

Either he replaces Dunbar or is a PS player.

Agreed.

EE and Dunbar have jobs filling the niches of all around RB and versatile RB ie speed, outside, receiver threat.

Jackson does not fulfill either of those two criteria as well as those two. He fills Dunbar's better though.

The best of the rest will fight for 1-2 spots on the roster IMO. Dunbar's health mitigates his position right now but that seems to be fading. We'll see. Darren has history but an injury. Morris gets a nod esp if he can pass and lead block and is better with dirty yards than McFadden.

Elliott Dunbar
DMC
Morris
Jackson

That's where they fit. They love the versatility of Dunbar esp as a receiver. Garrett said he has total trust in him even as a X, Z or SL. There is no other RB who fits that bill.

Consider lining up EE and Dunbar in the backfield, setting the defense then motioning Dunbar outside into a 3 or 4 wide. That's a problem for the defense who has to account for him. This opens up the field even more for EE.

PS/Edit:

That didn't translate so I'll try again
