The logic here (not ALL of Dak’s INTs were all on him (I'm assuming that's the logic, because I'm not gonna read any article or watch some video or read anyone's post on here)) leaves out 1 critical fact:

We judge the number of Dak’s INTs based on what other QBs do, and by what is considered good, average or bad INT numbers. If most QBs threw 30 or 40 INTs a season...then Dak’s 15 would be GREAT!

But Dak's numbers are horrible compared to the other QBs.

So then we get people breaking each INT down because they're defensive...and saying "well it's not really 15, cuz this one was Lamb's fault...and that one was the tight end's fault..and yada yada yada". And by the time they're done, they'll have Dak's TRUE INT numbers down to 9 or 8.

But they won't do the same breakdown of the other QB's INTs in the league.... which causes false comparisons. Because Mahomes or Burrow or Allen ALSO had guys run the wrong routes, or had perfect passes bounce off receiver's hands right to a defensive back, etc. So if you lop off a 3rd of Dak's INTs, then you could probably do the same with all the other QBs too if you evaluated them by the same guidelines....which means by comparison Dak's numbers will still be as bad as they were comparatively speaking, as they would have been had you just not gone INT by INT.

Heck....maybe Hurts actually had ZERO interceptions that were his fault. I wouldn't know...because I only see him when he plays The Boyz... but I'm sure some of the scumbag closet eagles fans in here would argue that point.

So let's just keep it simple: dak thre 15 IMTs last year in 11 despite missing a 3rd of the season (holy krap)
Exactly why I don’t bite on these interception threads. There’s no comparability because the other QBs are analyzed as well. Great post.

So KM how did we get so many of these 3 and longs...

Well I dunno man the zeke up the gut for 2 yards or gets hit behind the los proceeded by a short dump off pass that lead to nothing followed by oh **** it's 3rd down already should be fooling everyone i swear. Insert this about 6 times a game
It was maddening I tell ya. We could done better by stealing plays from Madden game session.

I know, another Dak thread but this covers an issue we all have concerns....
I guess the question is whether or not it answers any concerns regarding the interceptions being an exception or a real problem.

I'm not watching a rinse and repeat video. Personally, I'm more pro Dak than anti-Dak. But 90% of the time it is better to throw it away than throw an interception even if it is 3rd and long. These are all just excuses. IMO, the focus on why it hopefully won't happen again this year should be on the fact that Dak hasn't always been an interception machine like he was last year, not on making excuses for last year's interceptions.

The haters NEVER have a reply to this fact.
It was obvious from watching the games.
Dak himself talked about it.
Mike and Jerry both talked about it.

Dak purposely played with a more aggressive and risky approach.

Prescott ran out of his 666 Luck as the DB/LB heck even a DE lol decided to catch them lemons instead of dropping them.......

I think what he is saying is Dak's interception issue from last season is fixable. We will see but it's the first time in his 8 years this has been interceptions have been an issue.

None and I repeat NONE of the interceptions were on Dak!!!!
Those dang WR and TE (Throw in the HB also) can't get open enough and drop the dirt balls/air balls that our stud QB throws.
Get Dak some real talent around him and his greatness will sweat all over the gridiron! :muttley:
Don’t forget about the breakdowns on the O-line.

I will just wait and see what happens this season. Then go from there.
What is in the past is in the past.
30% new schemes and plays. MM calling the plays. No more stupid ill-timed plays from KM.

We will see if Dak adapts and cuts down on the mistakes, and will see if last year was an anomaly or if he really is in decline.
I know some will say it don't matter, blah, blah, blah, the usual stuff. But he is our TEAMS QB, so I will pull for the best regardless.

I suppose it comes back to around to Dak's performance when the pressure intensifies.
20 percent of his throws were tight window throws. Highest in the league…sheesh.
So if he cant make that window, dont attempt it, show composure and go through your progressions until someone is....or bring on ST.

I don't think he throws it thinking he can't make that throw. When he's throwing it he's expecting the receiver to win his battle and no one aside from Lamb could.
