I mean there is some truth to this. Two rookie OL, one of the worst RB rooms in football, questionable WRs.

He has two skill players on offense - Lamb and Ferguson. That's it.

That being said, he owns some of these early season issues as well. You can't just blame all of this on his supporting cast.
And that’s not to mention the high school defense they roll out there.

He had to have seen that with the crappy running game yet signed for the money anyway. If you care about your craft, you demand they do more or you'll take your talents elsewhere. They offered money and he was like, "Okay "
He wants to be with this team. JJ refuses to give him the talent in the run game. He believes in Elliot and Dowdle. He waited to sign Dak and that was a mistake. He knew he was going to have to pay 57.5 at least. Should have paid him and cleared some money and got a RB. Or descent DT. He always waits to sign these big contracts. He gives him 1 good WR to throw to and no run game. Just like last year.

you get paid by the defensive post?

dak was setup for success - he failed.

many times.

yes, his team sucks this year. oops.

all this primal defense of him is annoying.
Interpreting an evaluation of the system around the QB as a "primal defense" is both annoying and wrong.

Let's assume what he is saying is true but why?
Why do they refuse to build a complete team....... it seems we are ALWAYS missing something. What's crazy is that something in most cases they could have easily fixed but chose/choose not to.
*Running game
*WRs
* DTs
*S
They are very rigid in their strategy. They believe they can build the team almost exclusively through the draft. Consequently they think letting Hankins walk to rely on Mazi is the right call. They give faith when none is warranted. It takes a good deal of arrogance to be so absolute. Combined with how cheap our FO is you can see the delusional thought process.

They have ~$24m cap space right now lol. Like what facts do you people actually look at?

They could have done Dak and CD contracts at these numbers, or very close to, in March, and signed anybody they wanted. The FO chooses not to do that, it has nothing to do with Dak's contract.
I'm not saying they couldn't have done more than they did but a QB helping to structure his contract to provide more room not only for 2024 but the years to come can't just be dismissed as unimportant. It literally is the only way to really do it for the good of everyone.

Maybe if the Jags drop a couple more we can get a fire sale on Eitenne.

This was said under Linehan

This was said under Kellen Moore

Now its being said under Mike McCarthy.

When this dude doesnt play well, its ALWAYS somebody else’s fault. The WRs, the coaches, the OL
Oh I agree. But they are also very predictable

A lot of run, pass, run. A lot of predictable calls on 3rd and run to the sticks and turn around.

It’s not all on Dak and it’s not all on Mike. But they need to call plays early to get into a rhythm.

Dont elect to receive then run up the gut twice and throw a screen.

Special teams penalties kill nearly every good start of field position still.

its how i get my kicks.

what was the excuse when he had a great team around him?

sooner or later *most* people will run out of excuses. they did for jones. but the people who will continue to defend him despite any real success are the ones engaged in "primal defense".

True, but that really doesn't have much to do with Dak's performance.

Let's be clear here, Dak has not played great this year but the offense is also void of some of the talent you see from other teams (take Philly with their OL, their WRs, TE and Barkley).

Funny thing is that the Dak defenders where defending the O-line rookies saying they were better than what we had last year ........ now that Dak is playing bad its suddenly their fault.

The only "great team" around him was 2021 and even that team was incredibly flawed, but he didn't play well in the playoffs. Nobody argues that point.

But your point is "he didn't win the SB with a good team or two so he sucks" which is stupid. I don't want to hear nonsense about the OL and the WRs. People like you like to imagine that they've been good, despite a ton of evidence to the contrary.

Which QBs would have won the Super Bowl with Dallas' roster last year? Answer that.

when you decide to defend a single entity, whatever it may be, you lost sight of all around it and suddenly anything at any given time attacking it simply can't see the potential waiting to pounce.

the funny part is when they tunnel up this much, they never see their own contradictions. if pointed out to them - a very emotional response is coming.

So it’s all Dak’s fault. :lmao: :lmao:   You people are mind blowingly ignorant about football.
This is on JJ. He knew he was going to have to pay him 57.5. If he does it earlier during camps he could have had money cleared to get a RB or DT. He let hankins go over what 1 million dollars.

Dak has 1 good WR and a good TE. A O-Line that hasn’t gelled yet and no run game. Just like last year. Personally I think our O-Line coach needs to go. Use Luepke more. MM is calling the same plays. Our Defense is stinking it up.

Jerry’s happy it’s non stop cowboys from the talking heads. 9 seasons in and it’s still everyone else’s fault but Dak, they never tell us what Dak needs to be successful, killing off OCs, HCs WR RB OL TE it’s a tradition and fun to try and guess who the next scapegoat will be

dude - this entire conversation is stupid. pulling out a few segments to illustrate that won't change much.

the simple fact of the matter is dak is NOT a qb who can put a team on his shoulders and win. if this is even a debate for you, any further discussion on the topic is about like reading shakespere to a dog.

since he needs a good team around him, he must not be that type of player.

we good so far or have we already started parting mindsets?
