Did you actually watch the game? He rallied team second half and put his team in position to have chance to win.

Lions | Johnson sets career high Week 7
Sun, 19 Oct 2008 16:50:45 -0700

The Associated Press reports Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson caught two passes for a career-high 154 yards as well as one touchdown in the team's Week 7 game. His 96-yard touchdown catch was the fourth longest in franchise history and the longest since 1998.

Orlovsky continues to play well at QB on a bad team. 21-35-223 with a TD and no ints. Thats 126.78 QB rating and has him over 100 QB rating past 3 games since starting. That is a quality NFL backup, wish we had him over Brad Johnson.

In this thread you are shooting BS. Lets get past my Celtics call and that blew up on you:laugh2:

Documented for years I called the QB from Ct a future NFL starter..... And 6 years later he is. What reaction is that?

Did the same with Romo, Schaub, Frye in same vain over years. No one is perfect - on evaluations.

Most QBs get to start in the NFL because of injuries...that doesn't make them a starter. Frye has proven he is nothing more than a clipboard holding backup.

I never saw you mention anything about Schaub or Romo......but seeing as how you try to mention every obscure player out there.....it seems like it is more of you covering your bases by listing every player possible, than you actually finding hidden gems.

No mention of Romo? You were not a poster here 2002-2005 here then. I was long on Romo going into his draft and long him over Henson all along back when that was not popular.

Orlovsky is a future NFL starter or quality backup.

Actually at this point I'd certainly take him running this offense instead of Brad Johnson. He certainly has shown some flashes.

Orlovsky settling in today.

Calvin Johnson now the #1 and no Roy issues anymore. 12-25-265 Td and no Interceptions. Rallied team second half. 99.6 QB ranking and can throw better, JUST missed 4-5 big plays by fingertips.

IOW, he missed a bunch of wide open receivers... as for "rallied team second half", the Lions led 10-6 at halftime, and were outscored 19-7 in the second half...

Some second half rally, LOL...

In 3 games now, he has a completion percentage of 55.0, not acceptable by NFL standards... he has a 6.8 yards per attempt average, barely acceptable by NFL standards... he has a quarterback rating of 77.8 on the season, again barely acceptable...

He's also been sacked 10 times in 3 games, meaning that in 3 starts, he's passed for an average of 189.7 yards per game, which is LOUSY... the Lions have averaged 16 points per game in those 3 games, which again is not up to NFL standards...

Yes, I did, and no, he didn't... the Lions led 10-6 at halftime, were outscored 19-7 in the second half...

Actually, his quarterback rating was 88.2... it was Jason Campbell who had the 127.4 quarterback rating...

Once again, you go making crap up...

and has him over 100 QB rating past 3 games since starting.

Wrong again... his QBR the past 3 games has been 93.5... in addition, he's passed for 568 net yards in those 3 games, or 189.3 yards per game... then there's the matter of the safety he gave up...

And of course, he's led the Lions to an 0-3 record, as they've scored 48 points in those 3 games (16.0 points per game)... before he took over, the Lions were averaging 16.5 points per game, and 200.8 yards per game passing...

IOW, the Lions offense has REGRESSED since Orlovsky took over the reins... as of this week, Orlovsky ranks 35th among quarterbacks with 100 passes or more in yards per game, 31st in completion percentage, and 23rd in quarterback rating...

And you act like that's GOOD... ROTFLMAO...

His stats are skewd by a bad 1/2 in relief

He has averaged 100 QB passer rating in his 3 starts and yes he is on a very bad team. They have been losing for years and were 0 for before his 3 starts too. Not bad for a rookie. No interceptions in 3 starts also neglected....

Orlovsky's 3 starts

12-21-150 1TD 0 int
12-25-265 1TD 0 int
21-35-223 1TD 0 int

Thats an average QB rating over 100, not bad for a virtual Rookie on a bad team

his second start stats are pretty skewed by the 96 yard TD catch don't you think ?

And that 7 came with the Skins in "prevent" defense. Which I loathe. It gives up points everytime. Everytime.

The Lions were at a 250-95 total yard disadvantage, at the half...

It kills me that people say they were in this game. They weren't.

Yards don't win games only points STL should have taught yall that.

I never really thought the lions were in that game, it was only a matter of time before the Commanders put them away.

Because it was convient at that time to make like the bad team didnt matter. Right now it's in his favor to mention that so, of course, Nors will mention he plays for a bad team.

Love, however, how he totally ignored the stats about how they're passing for less yardage, and scoring less points per game, with his boy in there, than Kitna, but again those stats don't fit his agenda.

He is a Rookie QB - doing fine for his first 3 starts. I'm not saying he is an All Pro but a nice #2 that can step in for 3-4 games and play at a starters level
He is also lost the great Roy#11 from his roster. Too bad we hadn't picked up Orlovsky - he is vastly better than Brad Jhnson.

Kitna threw for over 8,000 yards past 2 seasons not shabby QB when healthy

They sent Culpepper packing. Really more a slap at Drew Stanton they brought in Culpepper to be the backup.
