I haven't been to Pakistan. I have been to NW India right on the Pakistan border. Everything except the local mud and sticks to make the adobe has to be imported, and it's not like you can walk over to the local Ethan Allen to buy a new living room set and have it delivered the next day. Especially if you're being inconspicuous and controlling who has entry and access into the place.

well, my family is originally from el salvador, and when i went back a while back we had a "mansion" and its not much more than a two story 6 bedroom 4 bathroom house. lets just say that the dollar doesnt go as far in other countries as it does here or western europe when it comes to building materials
