They probably needed any pair of pants they could find after hopefully putting a pair of Zubas American Flag pants on Bin Laden after they dumped the piece of trash into the ocean.

Hopefully the shoved an entire pigs foot down his throat first.

Does it seem a little dumb to be discussing things like this to anyone else, or is it just me?

It's known that they exist. Team 6 was dissolved in 1987 and in turn created the United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group. (DEVGRU).

Hell, there is a Wikipedia about it!

Well I guess I'm just paranoid. I read to many good books. ;)

The no such team (United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group) is based in Dam Neck, Virginia. ;)

I think his point was, that no one here would know people who are in team 6. They wouldn't be allowed that kind of contact. Its not like they just talk about it with their buddies.

"Hey man, i just got recruited to a secret Navy SEAL team.. oh hey, btw, don't tell anybody."

It certainly seems very dumb. But hey, we American's would rather be allowed to know every little thing that's going on, even if it means putting the lives of our own at risk.

Naw.

All this can be googled.

Just curious who would try to pass themselves off to being in devgru.

Team guys wouldn't try to pass themselves off as being part of 'seal team 6.'

Just was curious who the guys were. Simple matter to find out if they are actual team guys.

Exactly. That's why I was curious.

Hadn't thought of it, but it makes perfect sense.

Must have been much tension and some very intense viewing.

It was reported that the helicopter malfunction was a very tense moment. The other moment that I hadn't heard discussed here yet was when Pakistan sent F16s up to shoot down the helicopters on their way back out, because they had not been alerted to what was going on. We got to them before things got too hairy.

My guess is a case of pure bullhonkey.. the poster doesn't have friends in seal team 6. There's no way he would ever know, even if they were his friends.

Yeah, we couldn't let them know anything otherwise they would have tipped them off.

I hadn't heard that. I bet they were told in no uncertain terms that the helicopter better make it out of the country safely.

Yep, did you hear that his compound was less than 1 mile from a military academy? Could you imagine what could've happened? yikes.

I don't think their military or any paramilitary organization would dare interfere overtly. But Bin Laden just wouldn't have been there anymore if anything had leaked out.

Bin Laden's code name during the raid was "Geronimo," according to a U.S. official.

What a cool code name. :laugh2:
