Your logic is also flawed. None of these beyond Rogers was a premium round first day pick.

What? With all the threads making Thornton out to be a great cb that we let get away? How could he not be a "premium" pick.

You call it flawed but I will say this -- how many first day picks do teams usually cut? most keep these guys around to give them a shot at developing. What other first day picks could he cut? Tnew? Witten? JJ? Johnson?

Well Barry's got at least one ring and I don't think we're even going to the playoffs at this rate, at least he didn't make excuses, BP needs to take some blame here, he gave his worst coaching performance last week, we quit man, we quit, I love the Cowboys but man we are a train wreck at the moment...

your post is repetitive and redundant. we know our OL is horrible. That is on Tuna. However, he did reclaim Larry from the scrap heap (to be cut/traded) and Flo has played great (until he was lost for the season) when the "experts" here wanted him gone instead of re-signed. I guess it's Tuna's fault Rivera blew out a disc too right?
wow....not only repetitive, but redundant also??? :)

what exactly are we blaming BP for? We are 8-6 and have a shot at a playoff berth. Before the Commanders game we had lost by no more than 7 point and had a legit shot to win every game.

Teams get blown out sometimes.

Get some perspective.

I just don't see BP taking an OT with his first rd. pick. Which is why I don't think BP should be around next year. We need a coach who sees the importance of having a championship quality OL. With it, we won 3 Super Bowls. Without it, we have struggled terribly.

What do you think Parcells will do with that first pick? We have issues at LB, Center, OT, Guard, FS, and WR. What would you do and how is that different from what Parcells & Co will do? Right now, I would put the OL at the top of the list but the Cowboys have very seldom (if ever) selected OL in the first round.

I think our OL is one of the more highly compensated units in the league right now. Would you go for more FA's with the experience we had with Rivera? I'm just not sure why you think replacing Parcells is going to change the situation we face. This problem seems to be beyond a quick fix. We've missed on the draft and we've missed in FA. There are a lot of moving parts to consider.

What? [scratch head]

Busts are guys you expect big things from. 3rd rounders regularly fail. You can't call someone a bust if the average outcome for that draft position is poor.

What type retort is this? Is the choice ONLY between Parcells and Campo?

The reponse to everyone who criticizes Parcells of, 'Do you want Campo back?" is ridiculous and shallow.

You should address the issue instead of throwing out straw men
Actually it fits the post perfectly and was intended to be highlight the absurdity of what was posted above

The problems on the OL are solely BP's fault. He hasn't made the right FA signings, draft picks, and hasn't prepared the OL correctly, and hasn't come up with the proper game plan and adjustments.
^^ I question if Ninja would know a game plan from a floor plan based on the generalities here.

After the comment i then proceeded to help the poster put his foot all the way down his throat because i pointed out if we took LA's cap hit we'd be FURTHER behind everywhere. Some here choose to ignore facts.

Finally, since the original poster is NOT A SCOUT or employeed by the Cowboys he knows ZILCH about Colombo and Peterman.

BP thought about putting him in for Tocker but said something like "I've seen him practice." If Columbo's practices have been worse than Tucker's performance on Sunday then Columbo has absolutely no future.

BP said Peterman wasn't diverse enough and can only play one position and it is a problem when only seven OL suit up. BP is overcoaching here and expecting too much. Or Peterman is a bust like Jacob Rogers. Either way it is a bad reflection on BP. Let's see Peterman at OG.

The problems on the OL are solely BP's fault. He hasn't made the right FA signings, draft picks, and hasn't prepared the OL correctly, and hasn't come up with the proper game plan and adjustments.

And now BP says "I don't have a lot of options now." This is total BS. Just as BP expects players to fight through injuries and not make excuses, BP makes $4 mil plus/year as the highest paid coach, and should not be in this position in the first place and should find/have an option. No "built-in excuses" for the head coach either.

Sorry but i really do not understand your point.

First, what do you expect. An upgrade on all positions? How would you acomplish that? Just remember there is something like a salary cap and not to mention that every team normaly has only one pick each round in the draft. We had a really great draft and a major upgrade of the defence. We also were able to bring in some parts the offense has lacked so far. Sure the offense is still in need of some players but as i said i don't think this can be accomplished in one offseason.

Second you wrote that BP said: "I don't have a lot of options now." To me this is no excuse. This is just plain and simple like he judges the situation. And isn't he right? This sentence is no excuse for the offseason where he has forgot to fix the OL too. Again IMO this team was in too much need of players as that you can fix the problems in one offseason. So he as an HC had to decide what to fix first and he did it with the Defence and IMO he did a really good job!

Third with Colombo. What did you expect? To find a second Orlando Pace? Come on. This kid was signed because we needed depth real bad at Tackle. If you thought this kid would come in and chance the course of a game i would say this is just wishful thinking.

BP thinks to change a team that late in the season isn't good at all. And sorry but i think the same way. I do/did work as a IT project manager and i do think that the problems you are facing in managing a Football team or in managing a IT developer team are barly different. For me in every project there is a point "of no return". At that point you don't change things anymore. It's just "life or die with what you have accomplished 'till then".

So really i don't understand your argumentation.....
