He needs improve. Especially on snapping the ball.

The Dallas o-line had the most penalties in the league. Also, it seemed as if the center had trouble getting the ball in Dak's hands.Those are the facts.

When the QB has to have the best hands on the team, something needs to change.

I agree. I don't get why everyone watched our games last year and came away thinking Williams was horrible (he was) but that Biadasz was ok (he was not). He was a big part of why we got no movement up the middle and while "the numbers" say he didn't give up sacks he needs to be stronger in his base against the rush. Upgrade strongly needed there IMO. Maybe he takes a step forward, but I would have addressed center. Biadasz and Farniok doesn't make me confident

What Williams has on Smith is experience. To take a guy out of college with 0 nfl experience and just expect them to be a pro’s pro day 1 is completely unfair to rookies.

Micah Parsons is a major outlier, that’s why he’s getting this praise. It should take Tyler 2-3 years to become the player you’re projecting

O-line depth is a league problem kinda like QB depth....hard to get 5 quality O-lineman on the field much less have a quality backup for them, this is the one thing that kills me about the teams "Scheme" for the last 10 or so years...not other team calls it a season when they get an injury on the o-line.

Sure, there are concerns about Tyron Smith's health. but most seasons he still plays nearly every game and is still one of the top tackles when he does.

Tyler Smith is a big, powerful player who can move well. His problem is that he can be overaggressive and that can be used against him in space. As an interior player, there is less space to use against him, which should play to his power and cut down on the penalties. If he has to move out to LT to cover for Tyron Smith, that's where the concerns would probably crop up.

Biadasz was bad at times, but the number of times was relatively small. Some of them just really stood out and made an impression. We do need to see improvement from him, but coupled with the penalty problems for Williams and Collins, his year looked far worse than what it was. I'm also interested in the players contending with him for the job. Nothing may come of it, but there could be some competition there.

Martin is Martin. He's getting dinged up a little more as he accumulates season, but he's still one of the best.

I thought we played better as a line with Steele in the lineup than we did with Collins in the lineup. Of course, there are several factors involved in that, but Steele was not a problem, and he's young and can get even better.

This may be a bit rose-colored, but I've got other things that concern me much more than the line. It's possible that will change in a hurry, but for now, I more look forward to seeing what this line can do rather than being worried about it.

smith only has upside on Williams is absolutely false. There is absolutely a chance he is worse. This is a terrible take. Can he be better. Of course. He can also be worse.

Smith has potential to be a good starter but I don't see that happening in his first season. He had trouble with holding penalties in college, I doubt he changes that in his first season in the NFL going against better players. If T. Smith gets injured, then our left side of the line becomes a huge weak spot, especially because the inexperience.
Our Center position needs to be upgraded in next year's draft, the players we have there are weak. Steele just needs to prove last season wasn't a fluke.

Tyler Smith had a very young and inexperienced OLine coach in college. The coach had been a grad assistant just a couple of years earlier.

Tyler played LT with basically no technique. He just lined up and over-powered college defenders.
- He often pass blocked as if he was run blocking.
- i.e. Moved forward to the defender vs backing up.

About half of his penalties were from pancaking defenders.
- He was obsessed with physically dominating defenders.
- NFL coaches will quickly break him of that habit.
- That is much easier to correct, than Connor Williams getting pancaked by defenders...

I'm not worried about him at LG. Moving inside automatically corrects some issues that he had in college.
- If he end up playing games at LT as a rookie then I'm much more concerned about his penalties issues resurfacing.

tyler smith is not some can’t miss prospect. Comparing him to M. Parsons isn’t it.
