Nahh I am fine with using the system that was agreed to instead of complaining if it doesnt go my way

There is no technicality the system worked the way it was designed and OU will be going to the B12 title game

I agree there should be playoffs but unless they are gonna do a playoff game next week that is moot


OU did lose to Texas that is a fact, and what did Texas gain? #3 in the BCS and a berth in the Fiesta Bowl congrats! (me too)

If that's the case... these rankings are a bigger joke than we all thought before...

This is what's so funny. I'm not crying about the BCS. My beef is the coaches poll. There isn't a one of them who would not rank one of there own teams higher if they had beaten a team, head to head in a simular situation. Not one f them would do that if it were one of there teams yet they do it with OU and Texas. It is astounding to me.

And for the record, I am not predicting anything.

Do yo9u believe the coaches should rank Tech over UT?

You may not like the system, I dont either, but the schools agreed to it, and the system is going to work the way it was meant to.

Perhaps. I don't know. I do believe this. I think that Tech is a much better team then the system gives them credit for. They were severly penalized for the lost to OU. More then they should have been IMO. I have no beef with Tech. I respect the fact that they beat us fair and square. That win should mean a lot more then it does IMO but that's just another thing about the system that I don't agree with.

Perhaps. I don't know. I do believe this. I think that Tech is a much better team then the system gives them credit for. They were severly penalized for the lost to OU. More then they should have been IMO. I have no beef with Tech. I respect the fact that they beat us fair and square. That win should mean a lot more then it does IMO but that's just another thing about the system that I don't agree with.

That goes for every team though ABQ when you lose you get dumped down, IMO to harshly in some cases like OU going from 1st to 6th because they lost to Texas

Its just the way it works, it sucks sure, but you cant change rules in the middle of the season

In 1993 ND beat Florida State head to head. But when the final polls came out Florida State got more votes for the NC despite ND winning its bowl game against a very good Texas A & M team. So Texas fans should know that head to head tends not to matter to a lot of voters.

Baylor: OU wins 49-17 @ Waco; UT wins 45-21 @ home.

A&M: OU wins 66-28 @ Kyle; UT wins 49-9 @ home.

OSU: OU wins 61-41 @ Boone; UT win 28-24 @ home.

Texas had only ONE road game in the South, they lost 39-33.

OU had only one home game in the south. They won 66-28. And it just so happened to be the team Texas lost to two games prior.


There is no question who the best team is now, so bury your heads in the sand whorns, and pray everyone ignores reality and looks at your LIMITED head to head argument. ("limited" because we all know that argument doesn't work with TTU, now does it?)

They conviently don't want to argue that at all. They keep saying we are talking about Oklahoma.

They are viewed as better because they score a lot of points, and lets be honest, they do run up the score. Having said that, they are an average defensive team at best. Against a good defensive team, they will get beaten because they are only dominant when they can run an up tempo offense. If you stop them on first down, they become much less effective. That's just how I see it Big.

But we CAN put UT ahead of OU... we all saw that on a neutral field...

and you guys earned the ranking above OU when you beat us, the problem is you guys didnt keep it, you lost the ranking by losing to Tech. OU just kept winning including mauling that same Tech team and earned the ranking back

So again congrats on beating OU but in the long run it doesnt mean anything now

I respect you greatly, Dallas, but if OU had beaten Dallas on the neutral field you would be the first shouting this to the high heavens...

UT won this year... and hasn't faltered... give them their due...

Our defense is our Achilles no doubt but that doesnt make us unworthy of the ranking. I mean the NFL wont DQ Dallas from a superbowl appearance if our defense is bad will they?
