make you a deal. You admit that OU is not a better team then Texas and I will gladly vote for Tech to be ranked ahead of Texas. For me, it's not that big a stretch. They beat us fair and square.

Now, we can all put your "Don't want to admit" theory to bed.

I respect you greatly, Dallas, but if OU had beaten Dallas on the neutral field you would be the first shouting this to the high heavens...

UT won this year... and hasn't faltered... give them their due...

and you guys earned the ranking above OU when you beat us, the problem is you guys didnt keep it, you lost the ranking by losing to Tech. OU just kept winning including mauling that same Tech team and earned the ranking back

So again congrats on beating OU but in the long run it doesnt mean anything now

while UT beat you guys... on a neutral field... I guess that's not relevant...

UT lost to TT at home... you guys mauled them at Norman...

Still... tell me how you guys didn't lose to UT by double digits on a neutral field...

The other four games in the big 12 south.

Baylor: OU wins 49-17 @ Waco; UT wins 45-21 @ home.

A&M: OU wins 66-28 @ Kyle; UT wins 49-9 @ home.

OSU: OU wins 61-41 @ Boone; UT win 28-24 @ home.

Texas had only ONE road game in the South, they lost 39-33.

OU had only one home game in the south. They won 66-28. And it just so happened to be the team Texas lost to two games prior.


There is no question who the best team is now, so bury your heads in the sand whorns, and pray everyone ignores reality and looks at your LIMITED head to head argument. ("limited" because we all know that argument doesn't work with TTU, now does it?)

and next year, Texas will play at Kyle, at Waco, and at Stillwater.....so what is your point? btw, Texas did win in Boulder, something OU didnt do last year. All of this is irrelevant and the argument for both teams is just going around in circles.

It's one game Dallas. Good defenses do it game in, game out. You know as well as I do that OU always plays Tech tough because of the fact that Stoops and Venables know Leach. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. I'm just saying one game doesn't make a season and you have given up 90 points in 3 games. But yeah, if the whole "WE AREN"T TALKING ABOUT TT" thing works better for your agenda, then by all means, continue to play it up. It's weired. You accuse everybody of not wanting to talk about Tech yet all you want to talk about is the Texas Tech game. It's like nothing else in the season counts. Go figure.

That is correct and they were penalized for losing by dropping from #1 to #6 in the polls.

Texas was rewarded with the #1 ranking

OU fought back to go undefeated the rest of the way and earn their ranking back

Texas lost their ranking when they lost to Tech

No, because I think Crabtree is gone. Without him, there is no way Tech is better. However, if your asking me if I would rank Tech higher then Texas, that's a different story. I might but I'd have to really look at there schedule, which I have not done. I'm sorry.

Our defense is our Achilles no doubt but that doesnt make us unworthy of the ranking. I mean the NFL wont DQ Dallas from a superbowl appearance if our defense is bad will they?

You can't compare the NFL to College ball because you have a playoff system. That's exactly why the head to head should count for more in the College game. You get one shot and the team who wins should get the credit for that.

but head to head is not the end all of the BCS system, why does Texas deserve to be ahead of Florida, they didnt beat Florida head to head.

Perhaps. But, again, I'd have to look at who they have played a bit closer. The bottom line is that I would not have a problem if they were ranked higher. However, in any case, one thing is certain, OU is not better then Texas. That has been proven on the field of play.
