Perhaps. But, again, I'd have to look at who they have played a bit closer. The bottom line is that I would not have a problem if they were ranked higher. However, in any case, one thing is certain, OU is not better then Texas. That has been proven on the field of play.

Florida lost at home to a weak team. We lost on the road to a top 5 team. That question is not worthy of this discussion IMO.

As for finishing, well, we did finish. In fact, if you look at both sides of the ball (not just offensive stats) we finished stronger then did OU. That case can easily be made.

As for Florida, no, head to head should always take precidents when records are equal. I did not rank Tech where they are today. I would not have dropped them down as low as they are. Having said that, it's done so there is nothing I can do about that. Having said that, you can not tell me that the human factor, which accounts for 1/3 of the final BCS has any quantifiable reason to rank OU ahead of Texas. Head to head, they lost. That counts most in this situation but further then that, there is no justifiable argument for making the claim that OU is a better football team.

Somewhere along the line, someone said the most realistic thing that could possibly be said right now. "Just wait 'till tomorrow."

I think either way, whomever it goes to, will deserve it. I personally believe OU has a slightly better case, but I will not cry like an infant if we do not jump UT.

I will agree with whatever decision the computer and human polls come to. It will be the right one.

So in your opinion, if a #1 team loses to the #20 team in the first gae of the year

At the end of the year the #1 team is now ranked 2nd and the #20 team is ranked #12

Both with 1 loss then the #12 team should go to the conference title game? leaving the #2 team at home?

Ill argue that neutral field BS. Yes there are a lot of Sooner fans in the stands but I have been to so many RRS games that I cant even count. That place is HARDLY neutral.

Smack dab in Texas and right outside the doors is the state fair.

I remember my uncles car getting destroyed because he was in his crimson and cream Lincoln and had his OU flags out. The windows were broken and the flags were GONE.

Once my cousin and and I (we were like 8 yrs old) had these 2 drunk old Horn fans all up in our face after OU lost one year. It scared the crap out of us.
