Who's successful in this NFL at his size? Everyone keeps saying just put him in space. If you have to "use a guy the right way" how good is he for your offense? That sounds like someone that's limited in the success they can have. Meanwhile I have guys like Luepke and Turpin who need more touches and have shown they can play in this league.
Emmit had to be used the right way.

Very few backs can produce when "not used the right way."

our best RB is not on this roster.
he's getting ready for the pre-draft process...unless he's in the cfp.

Had one real drive. Sad. I like Rico, but the home run back is Duece.
Home run back?

He ran a below average 40 time coming out.

And he doesn’t have power.

You gotta have one or both to be a “home run back”

I wish they would have just given Duece on quarter at least to play fully. He would have broken some good runs. How can a back heat up only given a couple plays

Just watch the tape. All your answers on Vaughn are right there. 4800 yards is a lot of yards.

Leupke, Turpin, Schoon, Tolbert....all players that need more snaps and are all players mismanaged by McCarthy. Just like Rico, Bass, Golston and Hoffman showed they can play those guys can also.

Multi-year 1k+ runner in college at a major Big School 1A college.

Not his fault these idiots coaches refuse to use him.
Mishandling of personnel seems to be a hallmark of this coaching staff. They didn't use Zeke enough in short yardage nor Luepke once they moved on from Zeke.. They have the receiver who hit the fastest MPH in the league this season on the roster and rarely send him deep. It's maddening. And the biggest reason why they have to go.

Derrick was the RB we needed and Jerry failed to deliver.
No offense bro but all them stand still shotgun handoffs with defenders in the backfield before he got the ball would have made King Henry into "The Little Prince" Henry. Henry should send Jerry a thank you card for not signing him.

I have one foot in each camp. He’s not someone you’d want handling the bulk of the carries, but he does have the ability to make plays. It feels like the coaching staff hasn’t given him enough opportunities to build momentum. Yesterday, they did, and I think he performed solidly against Washington. He could definitely be more effective as a gadget player than how he’s been utilized so far.
