Can someone tell me exactly where this team draws its inspiration from? Every week of every season, we go out and ho hum through our games, and seemingly don't care whether we win or lose... I know the players really do care, but why not play like you care on the field, instead of complaining about why you didn't win after the game? I was watching "In their own words" of Parcells, and it seems to me that the fiery, get in your face, my way or the highway coach isn't there anymore. Other than the occasional death stare to someone who makes a mistake, when was the last time anyone saw him in a players face telling him to get his act together, or he's gone? I can't remember. So again, it begs the question, why does this team continue to play with no HEART?

It all runs downhill from the head coach.

BP's former players picked up on this and Jim Burt flew down to try and "wake up" the old BP. Do you think he was successful ?

Its a shame...

Prior to the Eagles game the TV camera showed Parcells on the sideline and he looked like the game was already over. I knew when I saw his face that we were in for a long day. Doom and Gloom is very contageous and IM afraid the entire team is infected.

I know its popular right now "the cowboys have no heart"

but quite honestly I dont think that is the case....

They look more confused out there....

So IMO I think they are confused not heartless

I don't know, I might agree with confused AND heartless. But the certainly have not showed that want to win any game in the last month of the season. Especially on defense. I mean what happened?

I don't know about "no heart." But they certainly lack a killer instinct, and have throughout Parcells' tenure.

I think you are probably right. Go back and look at the vids we have players running around like chickens w/their heads cut off. I know some shifting is necessary but some look completely lost.

I don't think this team suffers from a lack of heart I think they suffer from a lack of execution. We have too many blown coverages and have been turning the ball over too much as of late.

It blows my mind to see these receivers wide open. BUT in defense of the defense... some teams are just executing some of these pass plays to perfection... almost undefendable when the ball is thrown to the corner and the Defender is either close by or right on top of him...

Yeah.. you hit the nail on the head there... lack of execution is leading to confusion... winning your personal battles on the field breeds confidence... we need to win more of those.... when you lose your battles you lose confidence and get confused..... reminds me of the cartoon where the character keeps saying "which way did he go?, which way did he go?"

its real easy to say they have no heart sitting behind a monitor. i'd like to see any one of u say that to any of their faces. they go out and the basically fight with another man for 60 minutes. thats really all football is.
i think they show no emotion, and they play stupidly. but to say they have no heart?

im willing to bet u ever told any of them that, u'd be flat on your face with blood tricklingdown your face

That seems to be the problem. NO ONE will step up in the locker room and tell them that they are playing lackluster, and lazy. Just an example. Do you actually believe that no person on our defense can run down LJ Smith in a foot race? If Newman wasn't downfield, he could have tripped, fell down, got up and walked into the endzone. That shows the kind of plays we've been making, or not making, in the last month.

I could be reaching.

Bills two heart attacks could have something to do with his loss of the old Parcells fire.

Funny part when Dallas was on the win streak that helped put us in the situation there was no question of the team’s heart. Now we have a very bad month and all of a sudden this team has no heart. Give me a break, when your playing good the team’s sprits is high and when you screwing up players will get down and start searching for answers. It comes down to getting on the field and making plays, if we are doing that no one is going to question this team heart. I think a lot of fans are reaching for answers and it is not that complicated football is about executing and making plays.

Maybe so. Maybe some of us, including myself, mistake a lack of urgency as a lack of heart. But it just seems that in all but maybe 3 games (Giants in NY, INdy, and Carolina) we haven't played like we needed to win that "big" game. It just always seems like when we ho hum through hoping to make enough plays to win. In those 3 cases it was the same to some degree. In NY we barely made enough plays to win, same thing with Indy the Carolina game was probably our best one.

I can't question a man's heart, but where is the FIRE, where is the emotion, where is the excitement to be playing a boys game ?

I love watching Ray Lewis, he flat out brings it !! And he lets everyone know he is doing something he loves !! He demands that from those around him.

I see dead people playing football for the Cowboys, but like someone else said, it starts with the HC.

His face looks like he just stepped in dog stuff when they show him on the sidelines.

Players feed off a coach's enthusiasm, .. he is leading the way.

Sure the players feed off Tom Landry excitement. :lmao: There are many different coaches around the league and not everyone is some idiot jumping around on the sideline doing his cheerleader routine. These are Pros and they are paid damn good to go out and do a job. Our player lack emotions because they are screwing up which gives no one a reason to be excited. None of this was an issue when we were going 5-1 now it is? Sorry it has every thing to do with their play not their emotions.

At times I feel it’s a lack of urgency, a lack of intensity, no resolve.

All of the above could be defined as “no heart”.

But, It could simply be a lack of confidence, in the system, themselves, or simply afraid they will make a mistake.

Personally I feel they need to quit thinking so much and just play. Have fun, follow your instincts and just hit someone.

I would agree with that. I think the guys are pressing and not playing relaxed. The game is suppose to be fun go out and play the game.

And an attorney in the wings just waiting to start a lawsuit, with ESPN polishing up microphones.

By that line of reasoning a lot of things shouldn't be said, but the posts just continue. Nothing we say here matters except to us. Sometimes.

Like Zimmer and Parcels are idiots, TO should shut up, Julius is shot, Spears is a bust, and on and on...

BTW, have you told them they play stupidly?
