I don't like what I'm seeing. Ware (I know, I know) has been invisible the whole preseason, our STARTING secondary is still beyond porous. We make NO plays, and yield stupid penalties like we're giving away Halloween candy. Our depth on DLine shows no ability to stop the run consistently. We do not account for backs out of the backfield. We might be the worst tackling team in the NFL. WTH is going on Wade?

Let me ask you this . . . . how many pts did the Titans score against our 1st team defense and how many did the 49ers score against the 1st team defense?

Heck, I don't think the 49ers had more than 100 yards end of the 1st half on Offense.

i thought the starters did a pretty solid job actually

nice form tackling, newman and jenkins both made good plays on passes.. most of that "porousness" is a result of the scrub d-line getting absolutely no pressure

It's the same ole stuff on both sides of the ball. Sloppy and a hailstorm of penalties. I don't know how much you can put on Wade. The Cowboys were playing like this before he got here, but if this team can't get it together, he'll take the fall.

I think our 1st team defense has looked great, my only concern would be lack of turnovers something that has been worked on all through camp but we only have 1 in 3 games.

Dear god, it's the preseason. We're showing maybe 10% of our blitz packages and have still managed to completely dominate both these teams offenses with our first stringers. You know the 49ers had 50 yards of offense late into the 2nd quarter right? They also had 1 WR with a reception, that's pretty good.

Ware hasn't even been implemented yet.

According to Wade, they didn't have anyone else to play a sub defense in the end or those players would't have been out there playing that defense.

Scandric and Jenkins played well with the first team, and fell way off with the second team. Disappointed!

Not sure he is entirely wrong. Our Secondary doesn't seem like is going to be strength. Especially Scandrick and Jenkins. They don't suck, but they aren't all that, or at least what they would be based on what we heard from TC. Secondary I think is overrated and probably national opinion on Secondary probably being the weakness might turn out to be true.

Hopefully in regular season, with scheme and all, this turns to be opposite.

our first 3 CBs I have no problem with, the all showed they can play well last year. It's the others that concern me. I have no confidence in any of the rest of our db's.

Dude our 1st team D has dominated in preseason. What are you looking at? Stop juding our team on the 2nd half of preseason games when the backups are in there.

Do you realize the starting Niners offense completed a grand total of one pass to a wide receiver?

My only concern from this game was the offense's lack of points relative to its yardage.

A valid point, I'd like to see more turnovers too...

I think our top 4 CBs are fine.

As for the 5th CB position, they will have to make a decision on whether to stick with Mickens or try and get someone else in another week or two.
