We have no patience to let players just develop anymore. Players like Parsons, Tyler, Diggs, Dak, Zeke, etc that were immediately great players have skewed peoples perception of what a rookie development looks like. Settle down and let players develop.
Instant grits, instant oatmeal, instant greatness... our society has no patience for anything....

CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
Posts like this are so distanced from reality. 30 years between championships is nothing in professional sports.

Chiefs - 50 years
Patriots - 40 years
Jets - 50 years (current)
Packers - 29 years
Steelers - 29 years
49ers - 28 years (current)
Dolphins - 51 years (current)

And that's not counting the dozen or so teams to have never won one.

To think that Cowboys fans "deserve" more than what has occurred is ridiculous lol.
Preach, buddy.

Again I ask How does THIS team of Three years. 2 out of Three playoffs appearance = Futility ?

Mike wasn't around but for three years, Dak seven, Cee Dee 4 and so on, None of these guys were around. So you guys may feel futility and I've already said

That's cool , do you. But it's entitled thinking, and quite silly. You're holding guys accountable for things before they got here
is the SB still the goal? Just askin. THEN YES. Futility is not reaching the ultimate goal for nearly 30 years.

My point is you don't get to set no bar period. You're not involved in the organization. A fans job is just to be a fan, that's it.
yeah and the teams job is 2 at least achieve greatness 1 time within 3 decades. Its not asking for much. I think it's reasonable.

I guess the idea of this thread is rid ourselves of any expectations and learn to like what we have been for 30 years. Asking questions and pushing back is forbidden. Just buy the merch, tickets and shut up.

ITs called expecting excellence and not accepting less. That is what a Cowboy fan should expect and if you want to call that entitled then go root for the browns as well.
Exactly, you feel entitled to 'excellence' and the never lose. And Cowboys fan can do as they will.

What is your basis for what a Cowboys fan should accept?

As for the Browns, they have never won a SB in more than 32 years. IOW, as a franchise i can understand their disappointment yet they still have a loyal fanbase. You have 5 titles in franchise history. Comparing the situation and coming to your conclusion is laughable.

Pro football player expectations line up with the rest of our microwave culture.
There's not a lot of patience in waiting on anything.

The 27 years of waiting for something different to happen with this football team's lack of post season success fuels this fan base's impatience.

So it all comes down to the individual and what type of patient or impatient fan you choose to be after 27 years of waiting for something different to happen.
