Posts like this are so distanced from reality. 30 years between championships is nothing in professional sports.
Chiefs - 50 years
Patriots - 40 years
Jets - 50 years (current)
Packers - 29 years
Steelers - 29 years
49ers - 28 years (current)
Dolphins - 51 years (current)
And that's not counting the dozen or so teams to have never won one.
To think that Cowboys fans "deserve" more than what has occurred is ridiculous lol.
All, Steeler fan here. New to the board. I swear I am not coming to troll or be a jerk. I only joined to talk football. I like Micah (PA guy) plus I think he is smart and a great player. So when I saw him on a draft show he discussed how he wanted Mazi. I knew nothing about Mazi so this has led to me following the Cowboys a little this summer (but not real close). I originally came to talk about the Mazi debate to see if he really is doing as poorly as I am hearing or is just a work in progress. Judging from your front page...I see that is still a highly debated topic so I guess I won't really get a consensus answer on that right now.
But i did see this post and I can't help but wonder if you are talking about Championship appearances or wins. Our win drought since the merger was 26 years not 29(1979 - 2005) which I still think serves your main point but it was slightly incorrect. In terms of appearances we have droughts of:
* 16 years (1979 - 1995)
* 10 years (1995 - 2005)
* 3 years (2005 - 2008)
* 2 years (2008 - 2010)
* 13 years (2010 - 2023)
And you better believe that we, as a fanbase, feel like we need to be getting back to our championship ways. I love Tomlin. He's managed us through some real challenging and unique situations over the years so patience was needed. But now is time to get back to winning some playoff games and getting back to the dance.
As Cowboys fans, I can't tell you guys how to feel but "entitled" is not necessarily a bad thing. Our 13 years feel like an eternity especially when we haven't even been in the AFC Championship since 2016. 7 years is a long time. We need to be back in the thick of things. So I don't blame you guys if you pressure your front office for better results.
