He probably heard someone in the media make a comment or read a news article that suggested something like this, maybe even jokingly, and he ran with it.

Roy should be demoted to #2 or possibly even #3.

We should can his malcontent behind at the end of the season. We don't need bad apples like him on the roster. We got rid of most of the garbage in TO/Tank/Pacman/Ellis - just one more to go.

I think Romo and Miles have finally turned a corner here - it looks like Romo may be developing that special kind of timing needed between a QB and WR to fit balls into tight spaces. I don't think Romo trusts RoyW and probably never will with his lackadaisical routes and lack of heart.

Wow, we beat a winless team in OT and people are ready to promote the 3rd WR to the #1.

So Austin didn't drop the TD pass from Romo in the second quarter? He had a hand on it but bobbled it....the defender was behind him about a yard.
Don't know what you were looking at, Stang, but the defender clearly got a hand on the ball to knock it out.

It'll be a one week love affair then back to mediocrity.

Crayton
Week 1: 4rec 135yds 1TD
Since: 11rec 108yds 0TD

Austin:
Week 4: 10rec 250yds 2TD
Prior: 5rec 81yds 1TD

Roy:
Week 1: 3rec 86yds 1TD
Since: 8rec 128yds 0TD

Know what I'm seeing...inconsistancy among the WRs. With 28 receptions 259yds 1TD, Jason Witten is still this team's most consistant pass catcher. This offense needs to focus and find its passing game and quick b/c after the bye, the schedule really gets tough.

Which is OK, as long as you drag a knee.

I played WR, and I know you can dive and still drag body parts to count for a catch.

I'm talking about the one that would have been a long bomb, not the fade at the goal line. Geez take some notes when you watch the game - ball was put in a good spot for Austin to make the catch but he tried to corral it with one hand and bobbled it out of his hands.

The guy had 10 catches for 250 yards and you are crying about 1 play. Come on man.

Miles Austin put on a show today.

Then he wouldn't have gotten a knee in either... or an elbow... or his butt...

I played WR too.

I'm serious, go watch the play again and you'll change your mind. Sure, that's a catch good WRs can make. I remember the same catch from TO against the Giants in game 1 of 07 and even one by Andre Johson last week. But they were great catches. The only reason he had a chance of corraling it in the first place is by having to stick just one hand out.

If Miles would've dived for one of those passes in the end zone, he would've had a TD.

You can leave your feet Miles, it's OK.

he did..on the great play for the jump ball

Lets see him do this week to week.. Not 10 for 250 but around 7 for 100 and I'll be happy...

I did mention that it doesn't matter at this point but it falls in line with this team's lack of execution we have seen week after week. Austin had a great game but he missed a couple. I'm just being a realist, people on here are ready to demote RW and give Austin the #1 spot but he faced a bad secondary/team.

let me ask you have you ever seen Craton leave his feet to catch a ball ?

I can't remember ever seeing him leave his feet or stratch out for a catch

Yes he did, which might indicate he was/is learning, and I give him credit. It was a great catch.

I'm just saying had he done it on the TD pass it would've been seven.

Now that you mention it, no.

Perhaps a few of our WRs are afraid of getting dirty.

Right now, I'm watching the Denver/NE game, and WRs are laying out all over the place.

I'd love to see a Cowboys WR go all out to catch a pass.

The good ones make that catch, lets put the annointing oil away on Austin until he becomes consistent.

Roy has commented on Romo missing him a couple of times - making excuses for his lack of production since being traded.

He's been here almost a full season and I don't think he has even broken 400 yards receiving yet. All this from a guy who cost a 1st and a 3rd and got $45 million dollars. He should keep his mouth shut and appreciate that he is being paid handsomely despite his rapidly diminishing skills.
