Roy has commented on Romo missing him a couple of times - making excuses for his lack of production since being traded.

He's been here almost a full season and I don't think he has even broken 400 yards receiving yet. All this from a guy who cost a 1st and a 3rd and got $45 million dollars. He should keep his mouth shut and appreciate that he is being paid handsomely despite his rapidly diminishing skills.
A simple "yes" would have sufficed.

I did mention that it doesn't matter at this point but it falls in line with this team's lack of execution we have seen week after week. Austin had a great game but he missed a couple. I'm just being a realist, people on here are ready to demote RW and give Austin the #1 spot but he faced a bad secondary/team.

True but lets see if any other receivers drops 10 catches for 250.

I mean if they are so bad everyone should be able to have big days like that.

If anything the secondary for the Chiefs is their strength.

With Jason Garrett coaching the offense, Miles remains the 3rd receiver.

Jerry is the one making the call and Jerry's ego is tied to his stupid trade for RW.

I don't think the Chiefs have a strength. I don't really see the need to talk up KC so that we look better. We didn't look good, but we won. Be happy with the win and realize that we have to be much much better the rest of the year to even sniff accomplishing anything significant.

Lets see him do this week to week.. Not 10 for 250 but around 7 for 100 and I'll be happy...

like i said..its obvious the potential is there...whether it was vs the Green Bay packers, or preseason.....and all the talk about how good he is in practice...

you know its there..just needs the reps man

hes clearly a number 1 WR

Jerry barely even makes personnel decisions anymore.

Comments like this are just ignorant.

Eskimo speaks the truth. Roy Williams is just T.O. chapter two. Horrible routes, mediocre hands and a bad attitude.

Im not talking them up. They suck. Dallas was awful today.

But Miles Austin was not.

Why shouldn't we be excited about that? Because we're "realists".

Yes there are things to worry about but my gosh be happy we won and a young guy who 50% of the board thought had a lot of potential stepped up today when given an opportunity.

I know you believe in evidence and have been a big fan of RoyW and were strongly in favour of that trade - do you think we have gotten good value thus far? Do you expect that to change in the future? Is RoyW worth his contract let alone those picks?

Roy should keep his yap shut about his opportunities and any misfires from Romo given his less than scintillating play. He shouldn't be pointint fingers at anyone and that includes Garrett/Romo.

I think he is cut/traded before the start of next season.

theogt calling everyone you disagree with a moron (like you are doing in this thread) just reveals how weak your positions are.

Austin plays the X

Crayton plays the Z

Surely they will start Austin after this game today. Nothing agaisnt Crayton. I think he is a good player, but Austin just has the upside and the big play ability.

So do they move Roy to Z? Does Austin know the Z position?

It should be interesting to see what happens.

Thoughts?

Crayton has no heart while Austin exudes fortitude. RW11 stinks.

Yes, I think we got very good value for the 1st and 3rd.

There's no players with that 1st and 3rd that I would rather have had over Roy Williams. He's been a very good receiver for us this year. And he and Romo will only get better.

Roy says the right things and practices hard and plays hard. He's precisely the type of player we need on the team.

I would be willing to bet $1,000 he is not cut or traded before next season.

Well then, my friend, you should go back and look at it again.

At the 1:54 mark in the first quarter, he was about three yards into the endzone with plenty of real estate around him. He could've gotten both feet, his knees, or any other part of his body down for the catch.

He touched it, but a dive would've allowed him to cradle the ball or get two hands on it.

It was for a TD in a regular season game. Do what it takes to win (just on that play, not the rest of his game which he did well).

So, right back at ya.

Then he wouldn't have gotten a knee in either... or an elbow... or his butt...

I played WR too.

When even Irvin and Aikman speak publicly with doubt about Williams...it says a lot. I guess theogt would call them morons too.

We disagree regarding this and time will tell who is right about RoyW.

We have, however, agree for a long time about the potential of Miles Austin so I don't think we're entirely on different planets.:)

I remember the play... I saw it over and over again. The ball was over his outside shoulder. He dives, he ends up out of bounds. Hell, if he hadn't caught it till after the second bobble, he wasn't going to get both feet in.

Are you seriously playing armchair WR over a guy who had 250 yards and a couple touches??

So your standard for Miles Austin is that he catch 112 balls and go for 1600 yards on the season before you'll be "happy" with his performance.

Sounds about right.

OK, again, I have the game Tivo'd and just watched it frame by frame.

Had he just dived on his that same trajectory, he could've caught the ball.

He didn't have to contort to make the play or dive at some odd angle as your implying.

I'm not playing armchair QB, but I am saying had he caught that pass or even one of the other TD passes, then there would've been no need for late game heroics.

That said, Austin, admittedly, had a great game.
