Help, input wanted!

My personal choice for our first pick is not one of these choices because he may not be available when we pick at #51 overall (depending if we trade up/down of course). So with that in mind, I'm attempting to formulate a back-up plan for my mock.

Among only these 7 players listed, who would you take w/ our #51 overall pick and why or why not? I have an idea of who I would go with but wanted to see other members' opinions. Thanks in advance!

1. Patrick Chung - S
2. Derrick Williams - WR
3. Lawrence Sidbury, Jr. - DE/OLB
4. Rashad Johnson - S
5. Juaquin Iglesias - WR
6. Sean Smith - CB/S
7. Connor Barwin - DE/OLB

Connor Barwin for me. The guy has the intangibles you look for and is a spectacular athlete. I always go for passrush and blocking over skill positions as I feel a good passrush can make a good secondary but never vice versa.

It's a matter of maximizing resources. After Barwin I would take Smith just because he seems like a very good prospect at FS.

Sidbury is expected to go in the third so I would take Patrick Chung in the second and then I would get Sidbury.

Sean Smith..there's no question about it. If he's there at pick 40 I will be screaming at the screen for Jerry to move up. Stick him out there at centerfield safety and get prepared to watch him in the probowl..He's Cromartie with coverage skills..same attributes.

6 4 215..4.49..

I tell you who I don't want, we are never in a million years gonna use our top pick on an O.L.B., so scratch Sidbury and Barwin, Iglesias is a midddle to late 3rd round prospect, so scratch him, and Derrick Williams is a 3-4 rounder as well, so scratch him.

So with only 3 picks left, I'd take Smith in a HEARTBEAT since he should be gone the tim we pick and he'd be great value, and the I'd go Chung and then Johnson, but I also don't think we'll be going safety in round 1 either, but with Smith or Chung, I could see the value there.

1. Sean Smith, too much athleticism, talent, and versatility either S or CB
2. Rashad Johnson, the cerebral FS, smart.
I like Iglesias a lot but wouldn't take him before the 3rd round. I think he'll be a good little WR.
