When people have a strong agenda they will do everything they can in order to rationalize it, even if it defies logic. The offense cost us that game, namely Romo, but I guess since the defense couldn't bail out the offense it was the fault of the defense. Romo is an amazing quarterback, but he did cost us that game. Even he admits it. He said that game is what made him realize he needed to protect the ball more.
