This just sucks. He was a guy with flexibility that Quinn loves deploying all over the place.

I noticed a nickel/quarter-sized blood spot on his knee immediately after he went down and thought I read his lips saying, "I just broke my knee".

Not saying he broke it but he might've been in so much pain that that's where his mind went.

Prayers for the talented youngster.

From Google:

Electric shock refers to a non-fatal electrical injury, whereas electrocution describes a fatal electrical injury. In other words, electrocution results in death due to the passage of an electrical current through the body, whereas electric shock causes injury but not death.
Got it.

I was nine so just went with what the docs said.

I completed a ground with my arms on the Meat Smoker and left leg on a drain.

Froze me in place and I had to snap both my arms by leveraging my right leg and wrenching my self free.

I guess in technical terms thats a shock? That's interesting and didn't know that.

Was really hoping to see what Quinn was going to dial up for him in nickel blitz situations.

Could have been an unexpected weapon.

Things still look up for the defense but this sucks for everyone. The “feared” by the team means the doc knows it’s blown, but they won’t confirm until MRI is done.

Waletzkos injury is a problem. He needs these reps now. Even if he is like an 8-10 week injury, how do you count on him at that point? Luckily Jason Peters is just up the street….for now.

A good doctor can tell in 5 seconds if it's ACL tear. I can't believe they'd let him "walk it off".

Glad you survived..Most people would not have the wherewithal to do what you did.

Not so sure about that. I've seen good doctors let a player walk off the field.

But I am not sure if they feared ACL they'd let him walk around the sideline and walk down that tunnel after the game. So maybe there is some hope there?

That's because Irvin wasn't human. His desire to compete, win championships and be the best was only rivaled by Michael Jordan
Uh, no. There are plenty of others like Irvin.

But there was only one Jordan.

Just because he can walk, doesn’t mean the knee wasn’t structurally damaged. Lets hope for a 4-6 week recovery at best.
Exactly, but it does seem like there would be swelling by the end of the have that would make it harder to walk that casually. Hopefully it's a strain and not a tear.

If it was just the ACL that was damaged it doesn’t have to be a devastating injury that can’t be walked on. OBJ played in the Rams Super Bowl run without an ACL. Hell, former NBA player Dejuan Blair didn’t have an ACL in either knee and made it to the highest level

Yes and no. Don't undersell the Playmaker. I would put Irvin on a level with Ray Lewis for that intensity, leadership with the players, and ability to get the crowd going. That's not plenty of players. But agreed that there is only one 'His Airness.' I don't even like the Kobe comparisons.

Lewis came to mind for me, too, but there are others.

But Jordan took it to another level.

It's comical that people compare LeBron to him. It's not even remotely close.

thinking the same thing.... hopefully doesn't require surgery if that's the case and he can come back around mid season. But who knows, will need to wait for the MRI...

A buddy is a orthopod and he said typically at least in situations where he's been, if they fear ACL, they would probably just brace it, etc to be conservative and they typically wouldnt let an athlete who tore his ACL just then walk around on a sideline. But he said it is possible they could have feared ACL but let him do this, he's just never really seen it. Usually they tend to be overly protective of the injured area.
