Overshown should not start anymore

I've said it all offseason: Overshown is not a MIKE in this defense, he is a better fit as a WILL or in another defense. Same goes for Winters and James. We have one MIKE and he isn't ready. Wagner should have been signed in August as a stop gap and a teacher. Not one player has ever worn the green dot. Not one player has ever played the MIKE position at the NFL level. Not one player is ready to be an NFL MIKE right now. They are talented players IMO, but they are playing out of position. Sign the man. You want to stop the run? Bring in a legit player to play the most important run stopping positions in this defense, because the defense isn't going to work without it. If not Wagner, we need to find someone. This was obvious the day last season ended.

I just don't really see him as part of any long term plans. As a rook/2nd year player he was raw but flashed athleticism that paired well with Parsons. But he's had a few bad leg injuries, and just finds a way to get injured every year.

I hope we try a push for the younger guys to get on the field-if they show signs of life in practice.
Both Overshown and Winters are UFAs, and while it's only been 1 week, nothing from Sunday night made me excited about that starting duo.

Not being mean but this is an accurate take. Give it 4-5 weeks until be on the shelf for most of the Season anyways with some injury of some sort

Exactly. We have to hope Barham is the guy. But its going to be rocky for him as well as a rookie. But he's the only guy who can physically do it on the roster.

Dee Winters played softer than anyone. They should have let Overshown spy Dart have the three LBs out there on early downs. When Barham went in there and played more on the Giants left side behind EZE, where they were absolutely chewing us up anyway they wanted, that improved.

As I was saying during the game day thread Likely was going to be Darts main target on 3rd down after they try to get into 2nd/3rd and shorts with Skattebo and the rest of their RB rotation. As soon as Skattebo was gassed or we were stopping him, they through in their change of pace backs.

We played too much zone and literally no pressure coverage on their WR's. It let Dart just before the 2nd half take shots in our zones and see what happens and then they kept the same script between running and passing throughout the rest of the game. Our coaching had absolutely no adjustments or created confusion and therefore we had no possession in a game we were already behind. The Giants getting the ball back after the half, everything they knew how/what they were going to do.

Our offense looks no different than last year coming to the end of the season. It's prehistoric and relies on top end players to be their competing player.

They did exactly what they planned and wanted to do on both sides of the ball and we couldn't adjust.

CP continually wanted 2 LBs our there. They barely went to the right side rushing and used a 300 lb FB to help bust our 2 LBs up.

A Head Coach can tell his coordinators what he wants to see more of and/or change during a game. Out coaching is average at best.

I sometimes wonder if the LBer play in Dallas has been bad for so long...that we OVERHYPE this guy. I have yet to see what the hype is about. If he had some Sean Lee performances...I would understand the hype and the patience from the organization....but I have NEVER seen it...so I am confused!!!

He flashed a little two years ago when him and Micah were on the field for a short period. Didn’t last long obviously.
