Wow -

Does anyone get sick of crying about Owens and his departure? Why on earth do any of you care that much to put so much gdamn energy into all of this?

Nothing has been reported as valid w/ this argument.

Dc could crap out a can of T.O. Off and just about everyone of you would buy some.

You give this individual way to much cred. It's sad.

There are far more than Dc and Bleu caught up in this T.O. nonsense, but it's everywhere and its so old coming and seeing it splashed all over our boards.

One would think that a grown A** man could learn to just let things go, but no. You all scream that Owens should let it go, but look at yourselves. :D

Double standard much folks?

So here we are.

It feels like you're attacking the messenger here. Owens wrote it, it concerns current Cowboys employees and players, and it's news. We get stories about stuff Canty is saying about Romo, about stuff Antonio Pierce is saying about Marion Barber, stuff Justin Tuck is saying, etc.

This is more news than at least half the stuff that gets posted during the off-season.
Yes and no. Yes, in thAt the attack was in response to his assertion about what I'd post about Romo.

No, in that my original response was to Hos for calling out Bleu. I simply pointed out that DC was just as visible in the T.O. wars. He and Bleu often battled over T.O. and that it's not all that surprising when dc will post something T.O.-related or that Bleu will respond.

My assertion about this particular blurb is that this isn't news. Does posting it on twitter make it news?

I do not know Wade's position on Owens. I did ask.

Garrett could have worked with Owens. I think he is probably relieved he is gone and doesn't have to. We learned from Quarterback Coach when he met Romo in Orlando that Romo is excited about this year and promises the team will be together.

I have no doubts at all that Owens had worn thin on Garrett and Romo. None at all. But no players were consulted by Jerry. Those are his words not mine. He talked only to his Head Coach and scouting staff. His words, not mine. He consulted respected guys around the NFL. That was widely reported.

Jerry was basically the only one on Owens side here and he quickly realized everyone was right. Owens was bringing the team down.

And Wade said that he was criticized unfairly just like TO. So what makes you think that Wade didn't want TO? Jerry said he didn't consult any of the players, like you said. So who exactly that was relevant to the team did he talk to? Tony Romo's latest words was that he missed having TO around.

Being excited about the upcoming season doesn't mean jack when it comes to proof that Romo didn't want TO. Every player is excited about the upcoming season, including those that were on TOs side.

Actually, I wouldn't post a story about Romo starting his car. Let's not exaggerate. But if I did, at least it would be about current player.

Question I ask is why are you trolling his twitter acct? You're still just as obsessed with T.O. as his supporters. That's where you and T.O. supporters are like the yin to each other's yang. Now that he's gone, y'all can joke about it. But if he was still on the team, this thread would be alot nastier.

The day he was released was the day I was no longer interested in T.O.'s comings and goings. Therefore a post on his twitter acct about something that everybody knew he felt isn't breaking news.

So Tony Romo isn't a current player on the Cowboys? And Jason Garrett isn't the current Offensive Coordinator for the Cowboys?

I don't think I wrote any posts about T.O. when he Twittered about the Lakers game, did I?

If I am so obsessed with him in trolling his Twitter account why did I find about this on the 23rd when he said it on the 19th?

And where was it written in stone, or any article where you can provide us a link, that Terrell Owens blamed Tony Romo in part for his release?

Can't wait for these answers.

If you bother to read my response again real close, I said I don't know Wade's response to Jerry. I didn't say Wade didn't want hm.

Tony said he missed having TO around? I call bull. Pull up a link.

I noticed something about you.

Once T.O. was cut you then wanted to stop talking about him.

Or should I say you stopped defending him.

Stop the BS. The only reason you, and the TFC, want to let it go now is because you all looked like dopes in saying that there was no way in the world he was getting cut.

Apparently, we were just supposed to "assume" this. TO publicly calling out two prominent Cowboys is news, no matter how you try to finesse it.

:laugh2: wow i'm suprised he would say that but than again i'm not. what i'm really suprised about is that espn didn't pick up on this.

They haven't because ...
1.) He's no longer a Cowboy and
2.) The big story will come when the season is back in session. I guarantee you we'll hear about this story then, especially if Romo goes into his typical season slump.

Yes, because it confirms T.O.'s feelings about Romo and the reason why he is no longer in Dallas. Why is that news? Because T.O. has had problems with his quarterbacks and this is another confirmation.

So Jerry pretty much ignored everybody that was relevant to play on the football field. BTW, Woodysgirl quoted the article from Matt Mosley:

Romo sidesteps T.O. questions
May 19, 2009 5:25 PM

Posted by ESPN.com's Matt Mosley

CARROLLTON, Texas -- One by one, Cowboys players such as DeMarcus Ware, Jason Witten and Marion Barber made their way to a team bus following Tuesday's first session of organized training activities. Only one or two reporters broke away from the pack to acknowledge those players. But a group of about 35 reporters waited for quarterback Tony Romo to make an appearance.

And after one softball question, everyone started firing away about locker room chemistry and Romo's thoughts on Terrell Owens' release. It was the first time he'd spoken publicly since the Cowboys' 44-6 loss to the Eagles in the final week of the season.

Romo proved to be as elusive as ever regarding T.O. Asked for his thoughts on T.O.'s release, Romo said, "That's not up to any of us players to decide. That's why we're players. The organization and management decides those things. We're all at risk every offseason, depending upon everything. You always want to go out there and try to have all the guys you play with every year. That just doesn't happen. We have to go with the guys we have here now, go forward and keep improving."

When I asked Romo whether he had contacted T.O. since his release, he said he wanted to keep that private. I'm not sure why, but he did eventually say of T.O.: "You miss seeing the guy every day."

I try not to waste much energy on him either, but I fail to see how his controversial tweet is not worthy of being on the front page of the FZ. Fans are free to skip the thread entirely.

Was it news when Tony Romo first addressed the release of Terrell Owens?

http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=153667

Why was that news? He's talking a player who isn't here anymore. Let it go WG. He's in Buffalo now, lol.

This is the first time T.O. has used Romo's name in any form since he got cut.

That makes it news for most.
