Miller should do his research...it was a pinky not a thumb. but at least he knew brad johnson won a SB.

Actually it was the 5th metacarpal and not the pinkie although that became the mantra. Even Todd Archer got it wrong.

Way to go TO. :bravo: With a little added combined committment there's not doubt in my mind you and Tony will get your groove back. I'm looking forward to it.

A lot of other things are going to have to fall into place but most of that is up to Jerry. Perhaps we will get that ever elusive playoff run before the end of the decade.

Curious....

Going in to his last year as Cowboy(year 6).. the year before he puts up 13 TD and 1200 yards.

Do you cut him?
(this is gonna be fun) :laugh1:
First of all...love your sig pic (Halle is one bad **** :) )

Now, to the topic, I'd say it would depend on his cap #. If his salary (and his behavior) is manageable then , by all means, keep him!

What's he exactly done during his time as a Cowboy to warrant this opinion? Remember Irvin? So much more dramatic, toppled by going to jail and court half the time, and doing so for stuff that NEVER had a thing to do with football- which were some of the most utter distractions this franchise has ever suffered.

if you want to ignore his entire past and only count the "good days" and pretend the rest don't exist, you do that. as for irvin, sorry, other than they both play WR and are intense people, they don't have much else in common. irvin wasn't a boyscout off the field but he never tooks plays off and he NEVER put himself ahead of the team. owens does it for fun and kicks.

i wish people would quit comparing the two because they're NOT the same players.[/quote]

TO's new nickname...Stella. Even sounds like a drama queen name.

Unless you think he's Superman and solely responsible for our not going to a Super Bowl since acquiring him. Other than that, he's played football and for the most part kept his mouth shut. What more do you wish?

Cut the guy a break, he's been about as loyal a Cowboy as they come. The crap he's pulled on other teams has not happen here. And that's 3 years, in the pressure cooker, too boot.

Sorry, going to the press and indicating that you are not getting the ball enough (when you have more attempts your way and a crazy # of drops) and yelling at your coaches publicly during a game is not good teamwork.

Irvin was a ** off the field at the end, but an unquestioned leader during the SB runs. He motivated that team to practice and perform on the field. TO pouts every time he doesn't get his #'s, win or lose, and after a while it wears on a team to have a high profile ego that has to be coddled constantly. You couldn't find two more diametrically opposed players in terms of leadership.

According to Anquain Boldin, and every person from the Arizona Cardinals, who spoke about the issue, yelling at coaches on the sidelines is common in every game of the NFL, because it is the heat of the moment. Funny how ESPn forgets this fact when it comes to TO, but makes it a point to talk about how it is common when it concerns other players in the NFL...

But TO had a fight with Garcia, Marriucci and McNabb so that doesn't actually apply here.

No, I can't say I do know what the word 'hypocrite' means.

Ah, OK, so anything that applies to TO doesn't apply to other players. Anquain Boldin just had a major contract fight this training season. His teammates still defended him, regarding this issue of arguing over him not being on the field. The fact is, we aren't talking about issues with players that didn't deal with play on the field. Mariucci has time and again defending TO, after the fact. The fights he had with McNabb, wasn't related to production on the field, but the fact that he didn't take his sides with a contract. As far as Garcia, Garcia really was great in Cleveland, wasn't he...

thanks.

You sure do like following me around and pointing that out.

And as soon as he is gone, I will never mention his name again.

When he is gone, the team can get back on track and we can talk about football stuff, until then it is what it is.

I would love to be talking about something else, Since you have such strong opinions why dont you Start a topic? Would it be possible for you to start a topic on the football team? Or are you just relegated to responding with sarcasm?

If I started a topic, it could potentially distract from the Owens' threads. That would be counterproductive. I enjoy watching people go back and forth with others over Terrell Owens. Its entertaining.

Not being funny, but you could start that now. There are tons of non-T.O. threads on the board, but they're not the most popular for whatever reason. Maybe it's just that TO and Jerry threads are like moths to a flame.

No matter how much you try to avoid them, you still find yourself posting in them.
