How’s about go be a fan of whatever team actually drafts him?
There was no salary cap or free agency back then. It also didn't go well for the team who agreed to the trade. There are reasons we don't see trades like that now. This team is miles better than the 1989 version that traded Herschel Walker. Yet somehow, I think a Walker level trade may be needed to inject some new blood into the franchise
I would trade multiple cowboys for that pick. I doubt another GM would trade it though unless they had just taken a QB. Carolina is in the mix again this year. They likely wouldn’t take another QB so they might trade it. Not a lot of teams in that boat though. What would it seriously take to get the #1 overall pick in the draft in April? Because I'm all for doing ANYTHING it takes....Lamb is not a true #1 and Parsons is a total flake. Neither is worth resigning at the money it will take...especially Parsons. Bring on Caleb Williams....I'm just now getting over Garrett fatigue, and Dak fatigue set in about 3 years ago....I am tired of feeling sickly. Step up to the plate Booger and do the right thing!!!
Fixed it.Yeah, mediocrity and wasting careers of great players is how we roll, three decades running. Thank goodness Jerry [ruins] this team.
Ok my bad but the point is that his supporters used the same logicYou guys? When did I ever support Garrett? I never wanted him as the HC in the first place. Lol
No he is not..Fred Warner is a game changer.I would be willing to trade anyone if the price is right. But breaking up this team after 5 games is a bit premature. It would take more than a 1st round pick for me to trade Parsons. He is a game changer. You are not going to get another player like him in the draft and without him this defense is not very good. He is a proven game changer.
I'm betting the first thing you do come a heavy rain, is look for a mother hen to take shelter under.Another fan that wants to trade our best receiver, and one of the best defensive players in the entire game for a roll of the dice on a QB. Carolina practically did that very thing except for trading a great defensive player and look how it’s ended up for them so far. I’m glad some of you don’t run the team. Lol
Aside from all this, I have to say that Micah the Mouth's heart always was and remains in Filthydelphia. What would it seriously take to get the #1 overall pick in the draft in April? Nope, Caleb Williams is a prima donna punk who will be a bigger bust than Andre Ware. They trade the two best players they have for a shot at drafting him, they set the franchise back another 4 or 5 years minimum tied to him. Dude fled OU because his coach had a scheme and philosophy that was not going to work when they go to the SEC. Mark my words, Dillon Gabriel will be a better pro QB than Williams. Williams has said out loud that he is going to try to dictate what team he goes to, and in my observation he is not the HOF QB he thinks he is right now as the starting QB at USC...What would it seriously take to get the #1 overall pick in the draft in April? That’s pretty funny you came away with that analogy from my comment. Lol I’m not about to trade possibly the greatest defensive player the Cowboys have ever drafted, along with other picks or players, for a roll of the dice at a QB in the draft that could go bust. I have more sense than to do something like that. Carolina pretty much did almost the same thing this past April. They traded away the farm, along with a terrific young receiver DJ Moore, who just put up 230 yards last week so they could draft Bryce Young. How is that worked out for them so far?I'm betting the first thing you do come a heavy rain, is look for a mother hen to take shelter under.
Give me a prima donna over a QB that throws like donna.Nope, Caleb Williams is a prima donna punk who will be a bigger bust than Andre Ware. I'm all for benching Dak and cutting him when the penalty comes down some, but to trade away two blue chippers for that guy is 1 step sideways and 2 steps back.Give me a prima donna over a QB that throws like donna.
Been saying this for a while too. Does anyone really think these so called "experts" who run the Cowboys are any better than the average long time fan ? Heck, give me a chance, I can waste Hall of Fame careers of Martin, T Smith, Parsons, Witten etc...Also, does anyone think KC regrets taking a shot on a "good" QB from Texas Tech with Alex Smith and a competent defense already in place ?Yeah, mediocrity and wasting careers of great players is how we roll, three decades running. Thank goodness Jerry runs this team.
