Packers release Bennett

Here, he would have to accept the second tight end role where he's more of a blocker than a receiver until Witten is gone. I can't see him doing that.

If he could without complaining, he's a more powerful blocker than Hanna and Swaim. He's got too big of a head, though, to only be targeted a couple of times a game.
For sure, Gimme6. He would have to buy-in. But he'd be an amazing TE2

MB might be motivated to play for the Cowboys.

He does hate JW and probably would want revenge by finally taking his spot as TE1 since JW is on the down slope

It would be poetic justice

On to team #15, right Marty?

Yeah, it's you.

I'm sorry, is Jerry a GM or litigator/league assassin? It's about improving the team, being the GM. More than any league dilemma. This is why an owner needs a GM, but I digress.

Jerry's son does a lot of the GM'ing these days.

As for interest in Bennett...nada IMO. Guy has already talked about retiring. Either he has a chronic physical issue...or No heart.

I'd be all over it if it (the release) isn't injury related, Z. Especially with our 1 and 2 WR out with (or at least suffering) ankles
Sorry Trouty but I don't want the headache that comes along with him. I would pass even though he is talented.

Wow!

You mean the brilliant Green Bay front office made a mistake by signing the wrong free agent???

Been a misfit awhile now. More miles on him than a 747.

It's weird how these players always seem to get miraculously released and inevitably picked up by the Pats.
