Well aren't you a bearer of awesome news, Zebra! Good to hear! I saw he practiced, but I've also heard he's been suffering through this injury all season.

Say what you want about Bennett (and yes, a reunion with Witten would be awkward), but when he buys in, he's a top-15 TE. He bought in to the Pats last year and did well. I'm sure losing ARod for the season maligned him. The Packers are trash, now.

Yep. Bennett just from a talent stand point is a great TE. He is about as athletic as they come and is a matchup nightmare for defenses. But it always seems to be something with him as to why he never sticks around that long for any team.

No way Captn Crunch comes back to Dallas. He is still butt hurt about Witten being the #1 TE.

They're not going to be competing without Rogers so no need to put up with this ****.

He has plans to retire soon, a few people saying he had a back injury that is hurting his performance - not sure who will pick him up. Might be the end for Marty B.

What exactly did he fail to disclose?
May be he knew it would come out and that's why he said he would retire .

He wasn't doing much of anything with Aaron Rodgers as his QB and then got hurt. He is the same head case he has always been and I find it hard to fathom that people would be interested in bringing him back. There is a reason he is on his 5th or 6th team despite having pretty good stats at a couple of his stops.

MB might be motivated to play for the Cowboys.

He does hate JW and probably would want revenge by finally taking his spot as TE1 since JW is on the down slope

It would be poetic justice

Revenge? Poetic justice?

Jason Witten never did anything to Bennett. There would be no poetic justice to Witten losing a starting spot to Bennett. Witten didn't wrong anyone. Bennett was very immature when his NFL career began. Considering no team really does much to keep him on their squad shows his maturity really hasn't improved too much.

How bad did the packers front office and staff botch this.

They let cook go and he looks great in Oakland and gave Bennett 21 million dollars.

Now they cut him after 8 games and have to eat the money.

This is the exact kind of thing I was told on this board two weeks ago teams like Green Bay didn’t do. Specifically Green Bay didn’t sign guys and release them like Dallas did with Thornton, Carroll and Moore.

Weird huh. They completely screwed this up

Bennett AKA wakadoodle is a walking head case. Physical talent for sure, but (to coin a Micky phrase) if he was so good he would have never been on the street.

Looks like Martelous has run out of gas. Talking about retiring. Sounds like he's dogging playing now that Rodgers is out and the Pack is onto him, cutting him loose. Great character guy.

So glad Cowboys let him walk.
