i'm throwing boys fans a bone, here. you should take it and be happy. would you rather i said 'you had all the same players and sucked anyhow'??

Translation: "I have no idea what i am talking about I just threw out some nonsense with no actual facts"

patten will return/under contract. skins may pick up a #3.
wynn and daniels are solid, if not spectacular-under contract.
they will likely resign clark or sign another safety along with a LB.
rogers and springs are starters at CB-under contract.
royal at TE-under contract.

as i said- besides LB and safety, skins are set.

Patten lmao in case you didn't notice last season Patten sucked

Daniels is decent, Wynn is garbage and most your fans agree neither are spectacular and 1 needs replaced

Clark wow theres a great saftey just having a body there doesn't make the position not a need

what LB?

Springs over 30 and prone to injury?? and what about #3 CB very important in todays NFL who do you have there?

Royal is a FA unless he resigned and even if he did, I play TE as well as Royal does. Again having as scrub in the lineup does not mean its not a hole

If you are oing to speak with nitwits, you must take a nitwit language class. Luckily they have intro to nitwit offered as a online course through Commanders.com

So, it's not a mess when the great Gibbs endorses one QB all summer, then uses a tiny not even game long injury to put in the guy he actually wanted in there, but didn't have the balls to appoint pre-season? Don't buy it. It was a mess.

i think most people were saying that at the time. but, how did it turn out? gibbs knew what he was doing, which is why he has a bust in the HOF and i dont.

And that method worked pretty well, back in the day. Now, you need to build your depth through the draft, something the Commanders haven't managed to do at all.

the skins have drafted relatively well. some draft picks since snyder took over-
bailey
smoot
arrington
samuels
jansen
taylor
rogers

not a bad list. true, they havent been able to keep all these players because they have acquired needed talent in other areas thru free agency that took up cap space.

the balancing act is- do you want really good starters and not much depth, or do you want bodies, with good depth.

the skins have some good starters, but i agree that depth is critical. the skins struggled both on O and D when a key lineman went down on each side of the ball last year. but, i'll take what they have this year- which is bringing back virtually all but 2 starters from the year before. they should be able to add depth either thru the draft of FA.

Wait so you are saying Gibbs knew all along Brunell would have a good year, and yet named Ramsey the starter anyway?? So what your saying is Gibbs didn;t want the skins to win?

Notice most of your "good" draft picks have to leave because the Skins never have the cap room to keep them?

Gibbs knew what he was doing. So you're saying he put a hit on Ramsey? Otherwise, he just got lucky, since a decision he didn't have the balls to make all summer got made for him on the field. It was luck, not intelligent design.

Cool. But we're not talking about Snyder, are we? We're talking about Gibbs, and the fact that he's had two drafts, produce three players. And half those picks aren't even with the team anymore, due to mismanagement. So I'm not sure why you listed them.

Clayton is a rambling tool. There's no rhyme or reason here; his prose could describe most if not all of the teams in the NFL.

go to this site http://profootballreference.com/teams/dalindex.htm if you want to know who dallas lost between 2003 and 2004. it's not like its top secret info. why do you need me to post it for you? i'm sure most fans on this board know more about your team than i do, which is why i mostly stick to Commanders related topics. if you have insight besides personell changes and injuries as to why dallas declined from 10 and 6 to 6-10, and from #1 in the league defensively to average/bad, corrrect me.

my point was that the skins are returning almost all the starters from the 2005 team, so there shouldnt be a big drop off next year as there was with dallas in 2004.

tell me why you disagree.

Patten lmao in case you didn't notice last season Patten sucked

agreed. if healthy, he should be much better as he can't get much worse, IMO. gibbs seems happy with him, so i'll defer to his judgement.

Daniels is decent, Wynn is garbage and most your fans agree neither are spectacular and 1 needs replaced

i'd like a team full of umenyiora's (sp??) and freeneys too, but that's not possible. so, i'll defer to greg williams on defensive decisions. he, too, has earned it.

Clark wow theres a great saftey just having a body there doesn't make the position not a need

the skins may pick up a safety. i said this about 5 times already.

see above for 'LB'

Springs over 30 and prone to injury?? and what about #3 CB very important in todays NFL who do you have there?

springs missed 2 games this year, 1 last year and has been excellent. rogers is in his second season. i'll defer to williams on whover he wants at #3.

Royals a FA unless he resigned and even if he did, I play TE as well as Royal does. Again having as scrub in the lineup does not mean its not a hole

royal is decent. not every team has a crumpler or gates. but i'm sure dallas has a pro bowler at every position...so it would seem.

What a copout, you stated matter of factly that we dropped because we lost players and I believe you even mentioned rebuilding, then when asked to backup your own words you cop out like this?

tell me why you disagree.

Now lets look at this logically Skins are returning most starters even the bad ones, from a team that went 10-6 and lost in playoffs

Dallas is returning most starters except the ones they are choosing to UPGRADE and they went 9-7 last season 1 game out of playoffs.

I am willing to bet we can upgrade enough to win 1 extra game. If we do where does that leave the Skins?

agreed. if healthy, he should be much better as he can't get much worse, IMO. gibbs seems happy with him, so i'll defer to his judgement.

Gibbs is not happy with him why do you think they are looking for an isaac Bruce or a Brandon lloyd to replace him

i'd like a team full of umenyiora's (sp??) and freeneys too, but that's not possible. so, i'll defer to greg williams on defensive decisions. he, too, has earned it.

So you don't want to upgrade the weak parts of the team?? LOL

springs missed 2 games this year, 1 last year and has been excellent. rogers is in his second season. i'll defer to williams on whover he wants at #3.

Spring was excellent his irst season there, not as much last season. and Rogers is in his second season yeah so? Does that mean automatic approval. Again with defering to Williams If you have no opinion other than what extremeskins and Commanders.com tell you to have then why are you here?

royal is decent. not every team has a crumpler or gates. but i'm sure dallas has a pro bowler at every position...so it would seem.

Royal is decent?? *** are you smoking? He has hands like rocks, and is an average blocker. Just because there is a guy at that position does not mean it needs no improvment

As for deflecting comments towards the Cowboys, thats such a lame and overused troll trick of the trade. if you can;t stand discussing your team, and feel the need to try and deflect then go back to extremeskins where all opinions are in lockstep with Art ( or you might get banned )

Hold on you think that Gibbs master plan last year all along was to name Ramsey the starter knowing he would get hurt in game 1 and brunell would come out and have his best season in half a decade. Yet WE are the ones living on an island?? Hell at least it isn't fantasy island we are on

I'm looking for the board that talks about the Dallas Cowboys. I'm curious what is going on with this team.

Could somebody point me in that direction? I've checked here and ES, and find only Skins stuff.

Thanks in advance. ;)

it doesnt suck. beats not making the playoffs, anyhow.

After how many years? Ya know, you guys have unrealistic expectations. You finally swept the Boyz, or at least won one game in how many years?

You know good and well that you and the rest of your cronies were sweating blood before the CBA got done! Yet, you come here talking like Lil Snyder had it all figured out?

You finally got a playoff game under your belt...woopie! So did the Boyz, and that was with Quincy Carter, although the Boyz lost!

So now that the Commanders can go shopping at 7-11, while the rest of the NFL can shop on 5th Avenuel...you think all is good? :laugh2:

You better hope and pray that you don't have any of your starters go down this year, because if one or two do, your team is done!

The Cowboys will be able to fill holes with quality players, and quality depth for rotation, while all during this coming season, your team will start off good, get tired around the middle of the season, and totally flunk out at the end....and proclaim your rightful place...at the bottow of the NFCE.

Anyway, nice talking to you and your fellow Skin fans, because I have not even heard from you, or about you, the last, oh, what 5 or 6 years! You guys won your SuperBowl last year, when you beat the Dallas Cowboys twice...and now you have the perception that you are the "King of the Jungle"!

Good luck with all that...!!!:lmao:

putting in testeverde for carter was a good move. but your D went from #1 to suck- and i thought it was cuz they lost a bunch of players. on second thought, you all sucked just cuz you sucked.

i've been saying parcells has lost it for years, but dallas fan always disagrees. i think i'll go back to that mantra.

sorry for trying to make excuses for parcells suckdom.
