Saying the right things and doing the right things are different animals. He's had a year to clean up his act and find that person. He went wrestling instead.

Calvin Hill can help, but the person that advises Jones has to be someone of Jones' choosing rather than an employer's choosing for it to really work.

People look at the sucess of some of the notorious teams in NFL history like the 90s Cowboys or 70s Steelers or Raiders and think that off field matters don't make a difference. It's a different day and age. If you look at PFT's Turd Watch from last season, you'll notice that teams with 0 or only a few points were much more likely to have successful seasons.
As pathetic as I think wrestling is I really don't see how him wanting to do that has anything to do with (not)staying out of trouble. It seems you just want to knock him no matter what.

Be careful when passing judgment. He definitely made a ton of mistakes. Seems like he's genuinely trying to own up to them.

Remember, he's only 24 years old. I didn't get a smidge of common sense until I hit 28. I was broke and messed up. Who knows what I would have done with millions.

That said, he's still trying to learn what it means to be a man. For that matter, he's been teaching himself up to this point. He screwed up. Maybe he actually means it when he says he knows he messed up. His future choices will help dictate if he has or not. Until then, give him a chance. God knows I got a few.

That said, make the trade and let's dominate next year. You'll love the move as long as we have a championship next year.

....+1

And that is what all the Pacman support boils down to. Don't care about character, image of the organization or anything like that - just win baby

Not only that but you have to take shots at those who do, calling them hypocrites "must have hated Irvin" and so forth because they stood by their team even while some of the thug like activity was taking place.

I am sure those people never supported what Irvin and the others did, just wished it was not their team that was on TV and radio that was getting blasted and made fun of for all those arrest and scandals.

We get it, you guys don't care about that!

You are doing the same thing. Just because I support Pac coming to the Cowboys, I don't care about the team and it's image?

It's time to grow up gentleman. Jerry and Stephen are not little children. They know what is involved and whatifs could happen.

They also want to win.

Email JJ and them and let them know just how much you feel they hate the Dallas Cowboys since they don't care about its image and are pursuing Adam Jones.

Pacman Jones Appears on Poster Promoting Party Where They're Going to Make It Rain
Posted Mar 25th 2008 5:43PM by Michael David Smith
Filed under: Titans, Nashville

pacmanparty425.jpg

This poster comes courtesy of ********. It features suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam Pacman Jones promoting the National Street League's Grey Goose Party 2008, which takes place on Sunday, March 30. And it includes the words, "WE GON MAKE IT RAIN!"

If there's one person on earth who should definitely not allow his name and likeness to be used in association with "making it rain," it's Pacman Jones, the man whose NFL career came to a halt when he was accused of inciting a riot at a strip club by making it rain, i.e., throwing dollar bills in the air to make it look like it's raining money, and then attacking a stripper who dared to actually pick up some of the money.

Many people in and around the NFL think Commissioner Roger Goodell will end Jones' suspension, possibly as soon as within the next month. I'm not so sure. Jones just doesn't seem like he gets it.

Yeah nevermind you guys were right... He gets it. :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

Tim MacMahon E-mail News tips

Michael Irvin asked Pacman Jones to compare himself to the cornerbacks who have been cashing in with high-eight-figure deals.

Terrance Newman will love having him as a teammate. Apparently pac man will be the best corner on the team and he will be the punt returner.

Funny how newman has been asking to be the full time punt returner since he got here and hasnt been allowed, sometimes for good reason. How is he going to feel when jones shows up and he is the new fan favorite, the full time punt returner and it will only be about 2 or 3 weeks until most of the fan base says jones is the best corner and newman shouldnt be payed.

How is that good for the locker room?

So we shouldn't risk adding a talented player (albeit troubled) because Newman might not like it?

Brilliant.

Why not just avoid CB in the draft? Newman might take offense to a new CB being drafted (especially if that CB can return punts and is allowed to).

The reality of it is; Newman, to my knowledge has not said anything to that affect. And IF he makes a comment like this, its going to sound a lot like Greg Ellis complaining about getting Spencer....

Not that I know that this is fake, but I suspect it to be. Remember when PTF ran the story on "real" pictures of Merriman before and after steriods?

I honestly think this interview is hurting him even more.

You dont get in trouble that many times and are never guilty.

If he REALLY is innocent this many times then either way hes going to get in trouble because people are going to put stuff on him.

Is all you ever do go around every paman thread and try and put the guy down? damn, it gets old after a while. Like it or not jones will be a cowboy, there's 31 other teams tha need loyal fans!!

103.3 is talking about this right now. They called the place in Atlanta to ask about the flyer, and the promoter told the place they could get Young Spoaty and Pacman.

But Pacman and his lawyer heard this on the radio and called to say said Pac WAS NOT going to be at any party.

Supposedly these players are put on flyers like this all the time when they aren't really there?

Check out the actual flyer. On the bottom right it says it's made by "Cheap *** Flyers."

I doubt there's really a company that calls itself "Cheap *** Flyers." The only google results from that name and Atlanta are from a site reporting on the flyer itself.

anyone go look up dundat records on *******?

5 friends.

262 views. most probably because of this.

now i know superpunk loves a good OH SNAP as much as any of us, and yes - this isn't pretty as it sits. but i'm not sure how real all this is. i promote my tail off here in dallas for a lot of local bands. i'm NOT going to setup ******* just to have 5 friends i tell all about my flyers and shows.

i can do that in IM.

query on "dun dat records" you don't find much but a news group talking about open mic night at the club in the most ghetto form possible.

so far as a promoter he'd fail miserably just on web presence. you know, where this flyer was found.

so far i'm not impressed with dundat records ability to promo anything but pacman does need to watch who uses his image. but we also don't know if pacman endorsed it or it was just done w/o his knowledge.

if you hate him, i'm sure this is a big pretty bullet for you.
if you don't care, this is just another stupid arguing point people will bring up.

me - i'll wait till i hear more before getting my own OH SNAP in.

and the *** account i can't type in here - 5 friends.

this looks like a homegrown label that isn't even LLC'd to cover his bases. if he used pacman illegally, his own personal fortune, whatever it may be, is likely gone.

Out of sheer boredom I called the number.

Someone called me back about "the party for Pacman Jones."
