Of course everything positive he says is just a canned response.

Why did you even listen in the first place?

Are you freakin kidding me?!?! Are you really listening?

Do you think he sounds genuinely regretful for past mistakes? Or is he making excuses and then following it up with the talking points.

I did wrong.
I take responsibility.
I want to be a good guy.

What is your beef with the guy?

I hope we give him an incentive based contract dependent on his behavior, and we of course provide him counciling via Calvin Hill and others.

IMO, nothing has changed.

We provide PacMan the opportunity to play football again and to change his life. End of the day, it's up to PacMan to take advantage of the situation. He knows this is his last chance.

As long as we cover ourselves and still draft a CB high, and the price is right, I hope we give it a try.
I keep hearing people say that it should be an incentive laden contract and behavior clauses, but if he signs for the minimum which has been mentioned is a possibility there wouldn't be a need. He's only going to get paid for when he plays anyway. Even if he kept his base salary from his current contract it would still be that way and if he gets suspended then he doesn't get anymore.

And by the way, I say get the guy. Trade the 5th...maybe even a 4th. Throw him on a Tank Johnson kind of contract and get the dude a helmet.

I'm one of those guys who doesn't care if the guy raped a nun as long as he can play ball. As long as he can keep off suspension, which I believe he can do with the help of Calvin Hill, I say bring him in.

But that being said, this interview is a joke.

Clarence Hill will be up next to share his thoughts on Pacman. That should be interesting.

His last few responses were interesting.

Basically saying he was the best cb, and would be showing it but not for his own stupidity.

Also said that he is working out five times a week.

What was funny to me was that Mike brought up Hall in that question.

Hard to be humble if you're as great as Pacman

Tim MacMahon E-mail News tips

Michael Irvin asked Pacman Jones to compare himself to the cornerbacks who have been cashing in with high-eight-figure deals.

"I'm the best. Hands down," Pacman said. "As far as the complete package goes, I'm the best."

Pacman might be overrating himself a tad, but there's no doubt that he's a phenomenal talent. He acknowledged that his "stupidity" has come close to costing him his career.

Pacman has willingly admitted making dumb mistakes that led to his suspension. But he didn't take blame for any of the crimes on his record. Very confusing.

That's what a caller to the Michael Irvin show said.

Hey, maybe he's right. And maybe Pacman really did get a bum rap on all those accusations that he claims are false.

Perhaps Pacman should make it a little more difficult on the folks targeting him by staying out of the clubs.

Agent/lawyer/enabler Manny Arora grabbed a microphone and tried to set the record straight about the Vegas strip club shooting.

The media blew Pacman Jones' involvement out of proportion so they could report a "sexy" story. He didn't do anything wrong, Arora insisted.

Pacman did plead no-contest to a misdemeanor charge of conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct, which would seem to indicate that he did something wrong.

Timmy listened to a totally different interview. Essentially there were some things that Pacman didn't take blame for and people are interpreting that with him not taking blame for anything.

I think it's you who's listening to a different interview. For the first time in my life, I agree 100% with everything Tim said.

"I've made a lot of mistakes." "I've done a lot of things wrong." "I'm accepting responsibility." "For everything he read on that paper, I accept full responsibility."

What don't you get?

Terrance Newman will love having him as a teammate. Apparently pac man will be the best corner on the team and he will be the punt returner.

Funny how newman has been asking to be the full time punt returner since he got here and hasnt been allowed, sometimes for good reason. How is he going to feel when jones shows up and he is the new fan favorite, the full time punt returner and it will only be about 2 or 3 weeks until most of the fan base says jones is the best corner and newman shouldnt be payed.

How is that good for the locker room?

I've listened to about 80 percent of whats been on so far and I have to say I don't know what to think in regards to whether he's doing himself more good or more harm with some of his answers.

He does seem to own up, as my boy theo up there showed, but he also is admitting to having anger management issues and such that I don't think are going to help him out in the long run. He doesn't need to admit to things like that cause it will be point of reference for anyone wanting to push his buttons from this point forward.

This interview has done nothing for my view, one way or the other, on rather I want him here. I didn't want him here before, even though I'm accepting the fact that it's quite possible he's going to likely be here, and I still don't want him here.

I honestly think this interview is hurting him even more.

You dont get in trouble that many times and are never guilty.

If he REALLY is innocent this many times then either way hes going to get in trouble because people are going to put stuff on him.

He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer the less he speaks the better he is at this point.

That's bogus.
She lied.
Never happened.
The cop picked the fight.

Oh but I take responsibility for my past mistakes.

Do you ever listen to politicians? Do you understand hitting the talking points to make good sound bytes? They do that so people like you can quote them.

Be careful when passing judgment. He definitely made a ton of mistakes. Seems like he's genuinely trying to own up to them.

Remember, he's only 24 years old. I didn't get a smidge of common sense until I hit 28. I was broke and messed up. Who knows what I would have done with millions.

That said, he's still trying to learn what it means to be a man. For that matter, he's been teaching himself up to this point. He screwed up. Maybe he actually means it when he says he knows he messed up. His future choices will help dictate if he has or not. Until then, give him a chance. God knows I got a few.

That said, make the trade and let's dominate next year. You'll love the move as long as we have a championship next year.

Only complete fools will come along and say Pacman is the best corner on the team and that he should just replace Newman. Anyone saying that is only saying it cause they don't want to give Newman the money he's worth, the top level pay for a top level corner, but I can't imagine anyone actually saying he's more talented than Newman.

That's exactly what I thought. Because he denied some allegations you think he denied all allegations.

LOL, Pacman just said OTAs (not really, he meant the offseason workout program) started last Monday so he's already behind and wants to get started. Wonder what team he's talking about? ;)
