JUST KIDDING, ALL YOU LAWYERS YOU! :)
That's what people say until their due process has been violated! ;) Then it's, "Where's my lawyer?"

Lets get real here poeple. jones is not being suspended because he committed a crime. hes being suspended because of intense pressure from the media spamming us with his arresst record and and tghe story of the strip club.

His previous misdemeanor convictions from what I can see from Trickblues post were from 2006. So essentially the league had previously decided to take no action but becasue of what has recently occurred now decided to act. Due process has not taken place and as of today he is innocent of any crimes that occurred in that club.

Leonard Little spent time in jail for DUI and vehicular manslaugter and was arrested again for drunk driving. He got a 3 game suspension.

Jamal Lewis was convicted on conspiracy charges, spent time in jail and was only suspended 2 games.

This new conduct policy was instituted AFTER these alleged crimes took place. I do not see how it is fair that a muderer and a drug dealer get a fraction of the suspension that Jones and Henry got.

And how you can applaud Goodell for being a bumbling reactionary is beyond me. I would be impressed had he forseen a problem and prevented not because he overreacts to media pressure.

Here's my original statement to Hostile.

He misused the term. I pointed that out, just as he pointed out Fuzzy's misuse of the term.

He just didn't like it when someone did it to him.

It may have started there, but it evolved into something different. Don't quite know how, but that's what I was addressing.

I'm not sure my point has ever changed. But going from affirmatively claiming that someone wasn't afforded due process to simply stating that a lawyer might claim that is quite the change.

Your habeas corpus comment launched a 300+ post thread.

"Coincidence?" I think not!

Well they haven't been afforded due process yet. At least Pacman hasn't. He wasn't wrong stating that. And I'm sure if his lawyers go after the NFL and the Commish to get the suspension reduced, they will argue that.
