Pacquiao vs Bradley

That was the single worst decision I've seen since the '88 Olympics and Roy Jones Jr.

Yes it was.

It's real bad when even Bradley's manager scored it 8 rounds to 4 for Pac.

What are you even talking about?

It was a pound difference for Cotto. He could have taken off his shorts on the scale against Clottey and weighed in at 145 for that fight. But doing it against Manny is a huge drain?

Just stop. You're just talking nonsense at this point.

Whatever dude, I am going to stop but only because we are not going to see eye to eye on this issue. Obviously Roach that it was a big deal or he would have never asked for the catchweight in the first place. I could counter your statement with well if 2lbs was not that big of a deal than why did it have to be agreed upon in the first place if making weight at 145 vs 147 the night would not have much bearing on the fight.

I just watched the fight again. It's much closer than I originally anticipated

Watch it with your glasses on next time.

I love how everyone that's not a boxing judge thinks they can judge matches.

I'm personally glad to see Pacquiao lose. He's been declining fight after fight and should have lost to Marquez.

Now the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight will be permanently off and boxing can move on from being held hostage by this ridiculous circus.

That's what I thought. That he was lucky to win his last fight.

I didn't see this one yet. I'm sure everybody's right and he got screwed. Wouldn't be the first fighter to be robbed.

ESPN reported that Bradley himself said right after the fight and before the decision was announced "I tried my best but just couldn't beat him".

like everyone that's not a NFL coach thinks they can coach, and everyone that's not a GM thinks they can run a draft, and everyone that's not a NFL player thinks they know how to play in the NFL and everyone that's not a ref thinks they can ref. There should be a place where non qualified people can give their opinions on sports.

I've watch the fight via PPV and I have no doubt my mind that Pacman won the fight, it wasn't even close. Now I don't care who wins but that was the worst boxing decision that I have seen.

this.

it's absolutely hysterical. I bet if you polled everyone in this thread-just about nobody could tell you precisely how rounds are scored.

what are the qualifications of being a professional boxing judge?

im sure opening your eyes and counting is a must.

bradley never even hurt pac in the fight.

pac hurt bradley at least twice.

Bob Arum, who represents both bradley and pacman said "I never felt ashamed about the sport of boxing as I do today".

This is the kind of stuff that makes boxing look so bad, and people lose interest. The decisions have gotten so bad, it screams corruption. All the impartial boxing authorities I have read had it at least 8 rounds to 4 for Pac. That is a bid discrepancy.

Interesting point. I fully expect I'll never see another gripe about nfl officiating from here on out.

Why do you offer your opinion on nba refs in playoffs thread? Nfl refs and game?

Are you a judge or ref? This is a forum to offer our opinion and talk sports, see how ridiculous that sounds if we're not a judge we can't tell who won a fight?

I don't need to be an official judge to tell that was a robbery by the judges.

Wow.

Top Rank's Bob Arum, who promotes Pacquiao and Bradley, was stunned. He said he had it 118-110 for Pacquiao.

"When I came into the ring [after the fight], I said to Tim, 'You did very well,' and he said 'I tried hard and I couldn't beat the guy. You talk about killing boxing. Even [Bradley's manager, Cameron Dunkin] had it 8-4 for Pacquiao.

"Something like this is so outlandish, it's a death knell for the sport. This is f------ nuts. I have both guys, and I'll make a lot of money in the rematch, but it's ridiculous. You have these old f---- who don't know what the hell they're looking at. It's incompetence. Nobody who knows anything about boxing could have Bradley ahead in the fight."

And this is why Boxing has lost soooooooo many fans.

The mob and judges made a boatload of money.

The thing I say they should implement is give a recorder to each judge and let them talk into it as they judge the fight - then you can see how and why they scored a fight.

"hurting" is not how you score rounds.
